    X-Die Help

Re: X-Die Help I have a set in 300Win. As advertized the cases do not need to be trimmed. My assessment is the RCBS X-dies are good enough for standard (not long range) hunting applications....Maybe high volume AR shooting, but IDK. In a precision rifle they would not be my first choice as...

    Need ladder test help

Re: Need ladder test help With that big of increment you should see a fairly even horizontal dispersion....There is no such pattern in your test. It looks like something is messing with your results. What was the wind speed and direction like? What sort of aiming point and scope? What sort...

Sidearms & Scatterguns GRAPHIC - Charging bore with 1911

Re: GRAPHIC - Charging bore with 1911 I think what he is getting at is there is a big difference between calmly finishing off a deer and doing the same with an animal that has the capacity to hurt you. Though I don't consider pigs dangerous game a guy facing one for the first time may feel...

    300 WM hunting loads

Re: 300 WM hunting loads If your gun wont shoot 74-76 grains of RL-22 over a 180gr Partition it wont shoot. Velocity hangs around 3100fps. I have tried this combination in dozens of rifles and it has shot very well in every one. Another favorite is the 200gr Accubond over 71-73grain of RL-22...

    Action Poll

Re: Action Poll If you are going to get it near sand or run it in a dusty environment I would stay with a blueprinted Remington (don't bush the bolt). Or just go Accuracy International. Surgeon doesn't like sand or grit and Bat just hates it....Can't comment on the others. Otherwise I...

    rl22 or H1000 for 300 win mag & Amax 208

Re: rl22 or H1000 for 300 win mag & Amax 208 I've run both and both are great powders. I find Rl-22 a bit faster (at the same pressure) and in my rifles has proven a bit more accurate...Only way to find out is to try it. The temperature stable thing is a bit over rated IMHO.
