Strasser RS 700: straight pull Remage-style barrel nut that uses R700 accessories (stocks, triggers)

Schneagle snoven shmoggle smooven, That means in my own special Euro language, "I want one and I'd like to scratch that itch, like in the video".

Point of diminishing returns for a 2-12 ish scope

You get used to that thick reticle and what you'll discover is there is almost always wind, plus you can hit stuff just fine with thick reticles, but most importantly why we like this scope is the reticle is usable on low mag so the FOV is huge, the exit pupal allows more light to your eye...

    Arken 4-16 vs Athlon 4-14

OT a bit, and over budget too, but the new Athlon G3 Ares BTR 2.5-15 is an absolutely killer scope for the money!!! It's got very good everything, but not quite daylight bright illume, and a great .2 mil reticle that is slightly thicker at .06 mil and the new turrets feel like they belong on a...

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

I don't see why Ted couldn't make his own proprietary 2 stage trigger and some people like me prefer the single stage feel. I have some Anschutz triggers which I think are 2 stage and I've set them so they are like a single stage. People are looking for reliability, a crisp break/often a pound...

    Sled for Squirrel Zero?

I can extend it up and to the left to give me the best indication what the wind is doing. It's got a little wind flag attached to a string at the end of the string. Why we have it is we shoot at small kill zones and wind blows pellets a lot. Getting the wind wrong means missing a bunch.

    Sled for Squirrel Zero?

I've got a high quality and fairly expensive one piece BR rest that holds my BR gun perfectly still(no not the gun in the photo), and that's about as good as it will ever get, but a nice stoutly built bipod and the aforementioned pump bag is nearly as good when using my non benchrest rifles...

    Sled for Squirrel Zero?

The rifle needs to recoil back with out being stopped by something super rigid behind the butt of the gun. That's why rail guns used in Benchrest have moving recoil systems in them and why Benchrest shooters let their guns come back a ways before they reset them back to the original spot on...

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

What's missing AFAIK, is a chassis integral with the action/one unit, so no action screws, and nothing to come loose. Then it'll be the host for a plethora of furniture and accessories. Why mess around when you can go all the way.

    RImfire Optic Reticle

The only 5-30 scope I know of in mil with a large center dot is the Vector Continental. I bought it because I prefer a larger dot and in that regard it's a great reticle for me. However you'll likely be discouraged by the quality compared to high end scopes. The Continental isn't a turd but it's...

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

Thanks all for your "likes" and support concerning my post and lets hope Ted takes on a solution for us! The other thing I didn't mention is using these small cartridges for to mid long range steel which is another thing I do. On a calm day last year I was hitting our 1143Y steel with my CZ527...

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

Oh Tedddd, we need a high quality tiny custom action for small centerfire cartidges, and higher cap mags for them. These are great for walk around varmint hunting but especially for colony varmints. Look up 221 Fireball, also 20 Vartarg which is one of the best ballanced cartridges for this...

The new Athlon Ares BTR G3 2.5-15x50, initials, and ongoing thoughts.

I went out to do some jackrabbit hunting this morning to another area I hadn't been to in a decade with the Savage A17/17HMR but saw that the PD's were out already so I pivoted. I shot 8 of them from 20Y to 80Y, three of which was while I had the G3 set at 2.5x including the 80Y hit just to see...

Looking for recommendations for long range air rifle

Do you hang out on Airgun Nation forum? I ask because there is a long thread about Impacts not holding a zero well. It's a commonly known issue. Part of that is the thin liner system supported in a thin shroud by rubber Orings. I won't go into the other weaknesses that people have pointed out...

    Maven RS.6 - 1-10X28 FFP

Shameless plug. It's about time you bought a decent PCP air rifle to shoot with in your back yard. There's a bunch of them around that come with moderators on them and the sound of the pellet or slug hitting something is louder than the sound of the gun going off. Also flat out great fun and...

Looking for recommendations for long range air rifle

My 1st gen Impact was super frustrating. It didn't hold zero from day to day. The reg failed within a few weeks. And other small things, one being a bunch of loose screws which I found when I started hunting for other problems. What was just as bad was my 1st gen FX adjustable angle rings...

    Fuck You Mark Kelly

He and She were selected, not elected, because AZ, where I live BTW, is a demoni-cratic stronghold. There's no way we have that many funky people here as the majority. Of all the people I know there's only a few that voted for them and I'm not sure about their sanity, and I mean that seriously...

    Maven RS.6 - 1-10X28 FFP

I feel the same. Yeah the ZS system came loose in my O6 and jammed the turret so I removed it but the IQ is so good at this price level I kept the scope. I got tired of taking a beating selling my used scopes so I buy more guns to put them on or let em sit in the safe until I decide this scope...

    Maven RS.6 - 1-10X28 FFP

Thanks, yeah I like your reviews a lot! Wow that Meopta 3-18 has such nice IQ. I suspected so because my Optika 6 5-30 does too. And I like that reticle as far as hunting goes. Kinda heavy but it is what it is. It was my favorite in your review. Man it's too bad the Athlon Ares BTR G3...

    Air Gun Picture Thread

That looks awesome except one critique is those phillips head screws need to be replaced with torx screws to maximize the appeal.

7-08 vs 7 SAW vs 7CM vs ? for Large Frame

As much as I don't want to get back into large frame that 7 SWC with heavies is very appealing. Who would you guys recommend doing the chamber and barrel work if I did go this way?
