    Gong To Sniper Selection...

Dude... it's not about your PT score. You should be able to max the PT test, or the RPFT, simply as a byproduct of being in excellent condition. You are going to have to shoot, stalk, identify targets, etc. when you are dog-tired and hungry. If you're not in excellent condition, you will fail...

Rifle Scopes Light weight low light tactical scope options

Hopefully this helps until someone gets the exact scope posted, the aforementioned S&B 3-12x50 on a Rem 5R cut to 18.5".

Rifle Scopes Light weight low light tactical scope options

It's going to fall outside your specs, but I would suggest the S&B 3-12x50 without illumination or parallax adjustment. I had one and wish I'd never sold it. Not having the extra lens for parallax adjust means less that the light has to pass through, and I rarely ever use illumination. I don't...

Thank you Anton and Kevin, and all those who helped out. This match went very smoothly, and was a great group to hang out with for a day! My wife and I both had a great time meeting new people and seeing some familiar faces again. Great job Eric! That practice regimen is clearly showing its...

    AI u bolt??

I think I know what you're referring to, the u-bolt cutout on AE skins doesn't work on the new AICS. If you have an AE, and you order AE skins you will be fine. I've used several sets of Viperskins on my AEs and they drop right in.

Rifle Scopes IOR, March or Nightforce

I had my March F 3-24 for over a year of match shooting and practice, and it never missed a beat. Definitely got bumped around, knocked over, shot off barricades... in that time I tested the tracking three times and it was always dead-on. I will be buying another one. I've shot with it from hot...

Yes, they are turning over their FFL in the Aug-Sep timeframe. Last I heard they were going to continue their business, just without firearms.

    Why doesn't Remington offer a 700 with a 24" M24/M40 Profile Barrel?

They're hard to find, but it's the LE version of the M24 that are sold on the civilian side. They don't have the U.S. stamp on the side of the receiver, but they are marked M24. Here's one for sale... Remington M24 SWS rifle and Nightforce NXS Scope : Bolt Action Rifles at GunBroker.com

    Why doesn't Remington offer a 700 with a 24" M24/M40 Profile Barrel?

Remington has produced the M24 for the civilian market for a long time, both in 7.62 NATO and in .300 WM. They just aren't in high demand at $4k a piece.... Remington Defense

A huge thank you is in order to our hosts yesterday up in Sedro Wooley, for a great ELR match! Chris, Ron and Barry of Benchmark Barrels put us through a challenging course with long shots across open spaces, with a nice helping of angle and switching winds for flavor! It was nice to see some...

    Competition Pants

Nice.... I ended up in the same mindset, but with Arcteryx. I have Vertx and also some multicam Army Aircrew pants that are pretty comfortable to practice in, if you want to save a couple bucks you can find multicam aircrew or fire retardant BDU pants on eBay for cheap. Both have velcro pockets...

Rifle Scopes Leupold VX-R Patrol or Vortex Viper PST

Re: Leupold VX-R Patrol or Vortex Viper PST I found the VX-R reticle a little coarse, it's about 1 moa thick at 9X. Also, the Leupold doesn't have parallax adjustment on that model, so they're equivalent in that respect. I found the adjustments on the VX-R to be positive, but almost too easy...
