    M1 Grand Stretched Brass?

Please don't subject this American, iconic rifle to any of this comie shit.

    Are AR-10s problematic?

I've only built one and its been flawless. Parts that matter the most: Aero upper, lower and handguard JP HP bolt with full mass carrier SA gas block

    7mm PRC

Sure my fault. I should have paid more attention to the statistical definition section when I read the manual 10 years ago. Nothing on their web site that I could find regarding definitions. Just checked.

    7mm PRC

Fair enough. Time to do some manual math and evaluation of these two statistics during barrel cooling. Since I can't drink a beer at the range, this will keep me busy!

    7mm PRC

Well I didn't cherry pick anything. Pulled my info from my actual testing results. Should anyone owning a MagnitoSpeed be raising hell with them for producing invalid or inaccurate data? SD is just one metric to evaluate in the pursuit of an accurate load, not the only one.

    7mm PRC

I'm getting single digit SD with two types of surplus powder in 7mm Mag (two diff guns, 5 shot groups). I most certainly can be done with good powder and loading techniques. I had recorded a SD of 2 using RL-22 and the 162 ELD-X. One is just barely acceptable! You need to do better...

    3006 load 155gr

I shoot the Hornady 155's in both my Garand's and AR 10's. I use 49gr of IMR 4064 in the Garand and 42.5gr of Varget in the AR10's. One day I will see how they work in my FN FAL. Nice to have one bullet that works well in multiple guns.

    6.5 Grendel

I'm getting an average of 2884 fps out of a 20" 1-9 twist Shaw barrel using 30.6grs of XBR 8208. Stopped there as this bullet shot great out of my Proof 1-8 twist 20" barrel.

Ruger SFAR small frame 308, 6.8 pounds

Been down this same load development road with my AR10 and FN FAL. I found the Hornady 155 BTHP to be the most accurate in both guns. My M1 Garand's absolutely love them! I found almost all 147gr ball ammo to pretty much suck out of my guns. 168 gr bullets were a tad better than 147's, but...

45-70 govt for the kicks of it 400 yrds

I've got a new Ruger Marlin 45-70 SBL. Beautiful. smooth lever action rifle. Spent some time reloading for it and came to the conclusion that given the huge ghost ring rear sight, this gun, out of the box, is 100 yard max setup for a 405 gr bullet load. Unless you have scope with a reticle...

    Twede Mauser iron sights question.

Good question. I got roped into helping a friend re-barrel two K98 large ring actions so I have two sets of both front and rear iron sights to measure. I have a Spanish M1916 (small ring) converted from 7mm to 308. I can measure the barrel profiles to determine there is a profile difference...

    AR15 Irons for 100yd Match

Correct. Front sight only. No problem mounting directly on a gas block. Again this sight is for fun. I like the Troy battle sight for real SHTF use.

    6.5 Grendel

I skipped over the Grendel and went with 7.62x39 primarily due to the heavier bullet availability for this caliber. Cheaper to shoot as well. Very happy with the results.

Ruger SFAR small frame 308, 6.8 pounds

Agree. Easy to get to spots are a non-starter. Bangers and losers leaving trash, etc. We need to get @Twinsen out to have some fun given his situation. I've got one guy already in. Sounds like your in. We just need @MadDuner to confirm and put it all together. I guess we can invite Lash...

Ruger SFAR small frame 308, 6.8 pounds

It is really sad. No one should have to deal with this situation and have no recourse. I bought a new 1895 Ruger Marlin in 45-70 last year and it was perfect. Go figure.

Well looks like it was not meant to be. Its Lash and Ruger's fault!

Tucson. Yea its still pretty hot. At this rate, we will need to wait until Mid-October, early November to enjoy some nice weather.
