Ruger SFAR small frame 308, 6.8 pounds

I'm in AZ as well. I can spot, record the results and hold the money. For a small percentage of course!

    What about FN .264 LICC?

Just read through this entire thread. Really angers me to know that there is a potential solution out there to defeat Level IV using existing military/NATO spec calibers. I was part of the R&D team that developed this technology for Gila Defense Systems. Back in 2018 was the first and only...

What's the best performing 223 AR load/bullet if you had to choose one?

Another thumbs up for the 69gr SMK out to 600 yards. I use 8208 in my goto load.

    .224 Valkyrie kickin my A$$

Same here with the same CFE 223 powder charge. But I would always get the occasional flyer with the 85.5. Does not happen with the 80.5 Fullbore.

    AR15 Irons for 100yd Match

I use this front sight product for open sight fun. The suspended dot really shines out past 300 yards in terms of seeing your entire target. https://clearimage-solutions.com/

    .224 Valkyrie

@DacianMH I did not know CCI #41's can extend the life of FC brass as it relates to loose primer pockets. Thanks for that tip!

    Mcbros MK15 50 BMG Receiver

I don't think that combination of buttpad and muzzle brake will save your shoulder!

Where do you trust to buy ammo for a good price online?

+1 on TargetSportsUSA. Good prices, fast shipping and they do notify when items are back in stock.

Hornady SUBX 7.62x39 Barrel Twist Rate

Welcome aboard Rebel. Seems like there is only a small number of members here working with this caliber. Maybe because both factory ammo and reloading components were very limited up until recently. I don't really know. Anyway, forgot to add that crimping is really important. My Lee...

    Coloring brass and/or copper.

You could also just do a light bullet graphite tumble so they can be easily identified.

    Coloring brass and/or copper.

I have some Israeli "copper washed" 7.62.39. Looks more like a rose color to me. Maybe there is a process similar to this that can be adopted for your needs.

    7 Rem Mag - 7 WSM - 7-08

27" here as well. Its a PBB with a 1-8 twist and longer throat for the 180's and heavier.

    7 Rem Mag - 7 WSM - 7-08

@secondofangle2 What is your new barrel length? If its 26" or longer, than H1000 is a better choice if you are planning to push it for long range target shooting.

    7 Rem Mag - 7 WSM - 7-08

I use RL-22 with the 162 ELDX. I have both powders you mentioned but did not bother with them given my results. Notes below: 3.360" RL-22 64.6gr Avg=2960, SD=2! Rem 700 24" Max load per Alliant site is 65gr for 160 Speer,

SUBSONIC 300 BlACKOUT 1:8 TWIST RATE

I've had no stability issues using a 220 grain .308 bullet out of a 16" Faxon R5 1-8 twist barrel. Granted I'm not shooting 300 blackout, instead shooting 7.62x39 subsonic. I've shot 245, 255 and 265gr bullets subsonic out of this barrel with no stability issues. Its odd that Faxon uses a...

Hornady SUBX 7.62x39 Barrel Twist Rate

Calling the load development done. Compared the Acme 245 and 265 vs. factory Hornady SubX. Sticking with the 265's going forward. Stayed with the regular large rifle primers:

Hornady SUBX 7.62x39 Barrel Twist Rate

Update on my 7.62x39 subsonic journey. Its going great and has already exceeded my expectations! I've tested .308 220gr plated bullets and both the .310 245gr and 265gr Acme bullets. All three are stable and accurate out of my dedicated rifle. I've shot the 220's and 245's out to 438 yards...
