    I said nothing about Hornady either way, so I am not sure why you're implying I'm defending them. My TBAC end cap strike was 100% from steel pins.

    You had a pin or two in a flash hole. I had a similar endcap failure on my U7 and thought it was an issue with the metal or something. Once they cleaned it out and sent it back with a new end cap, there were several obvious strikes from cleaning pins in the baffles. I still wasn't convinced...

    All of my rifles get Armageddon Gear Cheeky Bastard pads. I've grown to prefer the mesh over the suede type partial some of the others use, and they're dead simple to install for the velcro attached version.

    The non-illuminated Bushnell Match Pro is just over your budget, but is a significant improvement over the typical sub-$400 stuff. I ran one out to 1047 with a 308 in testing before they were released, as well as several NRL22 matches and had no issues.

    You mean the range card, I assume. The target card doesn't care what distances you put in, and you can have consecutive targets 1 yard apart.

    If your POI changes due to magnification, even in a SFP optic, something is wrong and it should be sent back under warranty. That said, it's unlikely to happen in the optic in question.
