    New Aimpoint Duty RDS

    Per the product page, 2 MOA and compatible with all generations of NV. Given that they describe the mount as "Duty RDS™ 39 mm One-piece TNP Mount & Spacer" but the T2 mount as "Micro™ Standard Mount for Weaver / Picatinny" I am guessing it's not the same mounting pattern.

    Compact Spotter considerations

    I had a lot of great results with the Legend T, including spotting out to a mile with it for 6.5CM and SAUM. I've since switched to 15x binos when I don't need a reticle and only need out to ~1200 yards, and the LMSS2 when I need a reticle or beyond 1200.

    Trying to be as unbiased as I can, I agree with this. The XRS3 is a noticeable improvement over the XRS2, as well. I had both out on the range today getting some reps in before a 1-day match next weekend, and even at 36x the XRS3 looks better to me than the 2 does at 30.

    I'm sure there's some Butler Creek caps that will fit. (Yeah, I know....) If anyone needs measurements on an XRS3 to try to order caps, hopefully this will help... Objective outer diameter: 2.565" Ocular OD: 1.848" at the lock ring, 1.808" at the eyepiece ring.

    I found running the tripod a little shorter and spreading my legs wider to compensate (lowering my upper body without hunching) helps with getting out of the Anvil quickly once I pop the lever - just stand up full height and the rifle lifts out. I haven't ever tried getting closer than ~30...

    This. I have a TFCT-33 and it's the shit for shooting work, and still works quite well for spotting. My experience has been the opposite, I love using mine for night hog hunting. I can flip the release lever and my rifle lifts right off the tripod if I need to ditch it.

    Kinda. AICS have a taper in the middle but AWs don't. However, the outer dimensions at the corners are the same or close enough, and AWs work in an AICS mag well no issue. The action has to be cut for the AW, but the Tempest was designed for AWs from the beginning.

    If you're not dead set on AICS mags, get AWs instead. The Tempest works beautifully with AW mags, and they're FAR more compact.
