Tikka, If it works why mess with it?

I helped my friend setting up and sight in his t3 lite. Even it is cheaper model, it still shoots sub moa out of box. I am impressed with it. Tikka stock is fictional and works great. I just don't like the looks and feeling of it. Until now. They came out with t3 sporter line. That is just nice...

Rifle Scopes I'm pissed about the parallax on my new LRHS!

Correct me on this. I thought Bushnell has the policy to buy back the scope if you are not happy within 1 year? Another question I have. Did you check the lowest magnification and see if parrelex free goes down to 10yd?

Also, your ring/mount is always off. You are lucky if you get a ring/mount that is less than 5 clicks.

    Don't be an optics snob....

Please educate me on the scope of your choice. 8-80x56, what company makes a scope like that? Also, what is your budget? Last question, how far are you looking to shoot?

Check out tikka t3 308 at buds gun shop. They have some left handed t3 for your budget. I like tikka better than savage.

Steyr Scout 308 any good ?

Everything lcjones said. Also, it is a good hunting rifle that is not to heavy to carry around. I don't own one, I have a ssg04 in 308. But I did try one out before I bought my ssg04. I went with ssg04 because I wad looking for a bench gun.

AI ax 338 vs surgeon ax 338?

Cannot go wrong with either one. I would vote with money. Which one is cheaper and save the money for supply. But some one asked me before, if you can spend $5k on a 338lm, why not reload. Sorry, I am mot that advanced on reload yet. So I just go with blackhill.

Rifle Scopes Anybody shoot 1 of these? Bushnell Elite ERS ET6245FG 6-24x50mm FFP 30mm Tube

My et6245fj has illumination. The mil marking is right on. Other than 0 stop I really don't need. I like it.

Rifle Scopes One scope for multiple rifle platforms?

Also, a good pairing of scope and uni-mount is a must. I am not favoring of swapping between 223 and 308 cal. They behave too much different in velocity, weight and bullistic coefficients that will be a lot of adjusting everytime you swap. But if you are swapping between ar15 and ar10, make...

    $2000 and no REAL idea

I second the guys with factory suggestion. Also, the other is right. Tikka t3 tac, sako trg22 used, steyr ssg04, Fn, sig are all great factory options. Again, if you are new to the long range shooting, go with 308 as it is much easier and cheaper to shoot. 308 will shoot great up to just over...

    28" barrel .308 win

To Masked, You posted in #12 "In 308, I seem to remember it being between 20" and 22" for optimum burn/velocity." According to your link, the 28in barrel has higher velocity than 22in barrel. So your memory is incorrect. I am pointing out, based on your statement you posted, that means at 22"...

    28" barrel .308 win

To masked, In the truth about gun article you quoted, it is proven the longer barrel, higher bullet velocity. That will give you longer super sonic flight distance. In the usf paper you quote. The barrel was cut in field and recrowned with hand tool. I am not sure if that is a very good control...

What kind of precision do you expect from various rifles?
