300BLK Bolt Gun Project - Looking for Barrel Advice

No problem. I have the same can on an LVAW build (got one of the rails from the batch last year). The 5 twist MCX drives me nuts though on ammo selection, so figured I'd pass the info along. Good luck on your build.

300BLK Bolt Gun Project - Looking for Barrel Advice

I think there was some testing done that showed the 5 twist had marginally better terminal performance then the slower twist barrels. You'll significantly limit what bullets you can shoot through it though. For subs you'll have to stick with jacketed (no plated, and cast/powdercoat is probably...

Night Vision Vortex Impact 4000 Rifle/Rail mounted Range finder???

Counter point to this. My unit was one of the other two in use yesterday. It's been on the same rifle (mounted on a Spuhr diving board for what it's worth) for approximately 300 rounds now, and hasn't lost zero. Onboard ballistics got me first round hits at 530, 870, and 1,109 yards. At 24° the...

    NRL22 - New Hampshire - It's happening, you coming?

Definitely interested as well. Tagging for updates. Will finally give me some justification for the nice .22 I have sitting in the safe!

    Accuracy International AT-X

Works great. Easy attachment, and there's no hardware hanging into the barrel channel like mlok (a definite positive on a switch barrel rifle). Keymod relies on a friction fit, keyslot uses countersunk screws so it can't slip. Only downside, if you can call it that, is the penis shape, lol.

T15 torx bit. Tap it down into the screws and should come right out.

Night Vision Vortex Impact 4000 Rifle/Rail mounted Range finder???

For what it's worth, I used paired environmentals from the Kestrel to true the curve on the Impact, and once that was done I haven't needed the Kestrel again (onboard sensors on the Impact work great). Still sorting out how to best handle wind, but at least for elevation correction, you don't...

SOLD WTB Nightforce A107 30mm Rings, and PRI Recce Rail

Appreciate the offer. I need some black ones to match my state of the art moa/mil mismatch Leupold. If they weren't going on a clone, I'd definitely grab those from you. Will

    Carbon Ring…is this one?

Hard to tell from that picture. Might help if you started cleaning the barrel, and then checked again. The carbon ring will be more difficult to get rid of than the other fouling, so it should become obvious if you have one. I had the same issue in a 6.5 AI barrel recently. I let it go close...

    Accuracy International AT-X

I've seen some great deals on ZCo optics in the PX lately. Running a 5-27 on my AT-X, and it seems just about perfect.

It's going to depend how sensitive your clipon is to angular misalignment. My PVS 30 is perfectly happy riding on a standard section of pic rail, and a PVS 27 should be similar. Thermals may be more sensitive.

    Accuracy International AT-X

Very impressed so far. I trued the Geoballistics profile to the AB solution on my Kestrel at an arbitrary distance, and it back filled everything correctly. Made a first round hit at 1,108 yards using the rangefinder, and compared various measurements to my Terraipn (all lined up). Made it...

Got the AT-X out for some first rounds on the new Vortex rangefinder. @Bullet_magnet in the background.

Purely speculation, but it would kind of make sense for them to consolidate the three short action models down into one offering. Regardless, the AT-X at it's current pricing is a great deal. Pic for the thread
