    Where's the node ?

But how much of that is the “truth” of the matter exposing itself vs being the end result of all the other variables like shooter hold, wind, barrel fouling, recoil management, etc etc adding up to bury real trends with noise? You’d have to be shooting in the Houston Warehouse with a bench...

    Where's the node ?

Im an idiot who wants to learn. Why did you choose 40.9? Is that based on the location of the center of groups not moving between the charges higher and lower than it? In other words, with OCW tests you look for consistent POI across a range of loads and settle near the middle of the range...

Realistically Best Option for a 7.62 Gas Gun

I have an Armalight SuperSASS that uses the M14 style magazines. It reliably shoots around 3/4 moa with 168FGGM and around 1 moa with 175 FGGM. I've been very happy with it for what I paid for it. Trigger is great, and the suppressed-vs-unsuppresed switchable gasblock has worked really well...

I’ve been laughing at that clip for two days now. I had seen it before, but had forgotten how funny it was.

Ron Unz - Everything you know about WW2 is wrong

I never mentioned slaves. I just said don't underestimate anyone with determination to achieve something and the willingness to work their asses off.

Ron Unz - Everything you know about WW2 is wrong

I’ve personally seen a dam holding back 12-14’ of water, using a two-tiered dam structure, made by fucking beavers. It was magnificent, and about 3 miles from the nearest road. I’m an engineer, and I shit you not it would cost humans a million dollars or more to accomplish what those little...

Maggie’s Anyone have an old bugle they don’t want?

Yes, or the sound gets messed up from the spit gargling in the pipes. I wonder if that happens on a bugle?

Maggie’s Anyone have an old bugle they don’t want?

Only maintenance would basically be valve oil. Its easy, I have had times where I didn't touch mine for 2-4 years, and pulled it out and oiled the valves and slides and it was good to go.

Excellent, that is very helpful. Thank you!

    .224 Valkyrie

I'm surprised its not faster than that, the 16" barrel must hold it back a bit. I've got a 20", so we'll see where it goes. Factory 60gr loads are moving 3150ish for my in my gun, so thats my target for the ELD-VTs.

    .224 Valkyrie

Is that data for something like a 60gr Vmax? Wondering about bearing surface differences. If that is for the VMax, I would think it would be good data to use cause those things have very long bearing surfaces. I don't have a Hornady manual.

    .224 Valkyrie

Is that a starting load or your finished load? What sort of velocity are you getting? I have some StaBall Match Im not using or anything currently so that could be a great option.

    .224 Valkyrie

Can anybody share a starting point for 62 ELD-VT's in a semi-auto Valkyrie? I'm open to powder suggestions. Varget, CFE 223, etc.

Maggie’s Anyone have an old bugle they don’t want?

An old trumpet would be easier/cheaper to find. Anything you can play on bugle can be played on trumpet, and then some.

    NF NXS 12-42X56 Setup Question

If you just use one 20 MOA canted item, looking at basic ballistics, you’d probably make it to about 1100 yards on the turret. Then you would have to hold over with the reticle beyond that.

    NF NXS 12-42X56 Setup Question

If the scope is centered, you have about 23 moa up and 20 moa down available. The 100 yard zero, without canted bases, should be relatively close to the centered position, depending on action geometry. Putting the canted base on moves the impact up 20 moa, meaning you have to dial the scope...

    NF NXS 12-42X56 Setup Question

You won’t likely be able to use both those canted items together. Use only one 20moa canted item, and you might still be able to zero at 100, but barely. You’d likely only have a handful of clicks left down though. So you’d have 40ish moa up available to dial up on the scope at that point...

    Rifle Scopes Broken Spuhr Mount

45 in-lbs seems like a lot for a base with 4 screws and full length bar. I'm sure thats what Spuhr recommends, but why is so much necessary?
