    SPR Optic

    Both my gas guns (223 and 308) have MK5 3.6-18’s. Plenty of magnification and good size/weight. Both of my scores are the illuminated TMR. If I were buying new today I’d get the PR2 reticle.

    Wow that’s wild and I’m glad he’s ok. I made labels put them on magnetic tape for my powder measures. Can’t be too careful when it can be awhile between reloading sessions. I just added some white metal tape so I can write the charge weight with a dry erase marker.

    For my G5 Glocks I put in a TTI Grandmaster kit and replaced the trigger/trigger bar with the Overwatch flat polymer trigger. The trigger itself is just a preference thing. The Taran connector and springs helped out quite a bit on their own.

    The illuminated TMR is underrated! I have them on my 3.6-18 MK5s on my 223 and 308 gas gun DMR style rifles. Simple and clean with a floating dot and bold and easy to see.

    Pass on night sights for sure. If you do replace factory sights I would get a front with a fiber optic insert and a plain rear.

    I think there is merit in evaluating factory ammo. I usually do that with a new rifle or barrel to get a baseline or starting point too. There some value in knowing how a good factory loading performs in your rifle. I would suggest saving more than a few rounds or better yet buying a few boxes...

    FN SPR Trigger options

    I’m no expert, but I am an FN SPR owner. It’s essentially a Winchester M70 action so triggers should be compatible. My SPR trigger is pretty actually very good. I bought it used so not sure if the first owner adjusted it or that’s how it came from FN.

    You’ll be on the paper for sure. I was pleasantly surprised when I pulled my scope from my 22lr (50y zero) and I was about a mil off zero with my new 6CM at 100y. This was in a Spuhr mount.
