It's more than bank loans that expand the "money" supply. Every time we slap down the plastic for payment we are also guilty of expanding it. Malum Prohibitum - my only suggestion for a person who is into stocks is that they either direct register their shares or take delivery of the stock certificates. Ditto for any accounts the person controls. That reduces the exposure and the brokerage cannot hypothecate them and expose the...- Gary/CO

I have neighbors who are very much keep up with the Jones' mindset. They bragged about their 7% CD but if real inflation is 8% their purchasing power is contracting. Buy less with more dollars. Concur 100%. He has fallen prey to consumerism, exposed to repossession and likely foreclosure...- Gary/CO

Nothing I've seen suggests that "they" want us to have high savings. AFAIK, since we are (or were) a consumer based economy, they want us to consume (spend like there's no tomorrow). Stocks go up under hyperinflation. Historical precedents include Weimar, Zimbabwe and Venezuela. However...- Gary/CO

@Wonko_The_Sane Did you make a mandrel or use a Forster scope mount jig to drill and tap for the pads? Do you have a milling machine? I know the Brits used a jig that was clamped onto the receiver for drilling/tapping.- Gary/CO

I think pedigree papers is a better term for the critters (dogs, horses, mebbe even cattle). I have three degrees: HKU (Hard Knock University) and State Pen (not to be confused with Penn State). My most important one is 98.6 b/c if you don't have that, you could be sick.- Gary/CO
