Missouri Sniper Match 14 February Big Piney Sport

Re: Missouri Sniper Match 14 February Big Piney Sport It was a bit cold, but otherwise a nice day to shoot. The wind seemed cooperative until the 800 yard line. The Tactical Lite division worked out pretty good for those who shot the smaller calibers like the .223 and .221 Fireball.

Missouri Sniper Match 14 February Big Piney Sport

Re: Missouri Sniper Match 14 February Big Piney Sport I have changed next year's schedule. Being single, Valentine's Day isn't something I'm usually thinking about when I do February's shooting dates.

Re: Missouri shooters Got another one tonight. It was a boar that is maybe a bit larger than the two hogs we killed last Wednesday. My son shot this one in the head with a .22-250 using a 55 grain Sierra BTS Gameking bullet. I'm going to see about having it made into summer sausage.

Re: Missouri shooters Just to the west of Licking in Texas County. I've also killed them near where the Phelps, Texas and Pulaski County lines meet. My son, one of his brother-in-laws and I killed about 20 this past summer where we got these two. They make for some pretty good eating.

Re: Missouri shooters Thought you guys might enjoy this. My son and I killed them Wednesday night. Both were close up head shots. The rifle was a Marlin 1894 cowboy model in .357 magnum. The bullet was a Hornady 158 grain XTP chronographed at 1,555 fps. They dropped like a sledgehammer...
