The width is 1-1/2" I would not want to give up the magazine for the bag rider either. As for precision, the DT monopod's adjustment very precise, as well as rapidly adjustable. I didn't know ABR made one for the DT until I read this thread a few days ago. I think they are a good unit for most...

The DT monopod in my opinion has the best adjustability and range, and with my bag rider and a quality leather bag with ears is extremely solid and stable. I would not suggest removing your monopod.

That can be arranged, I would appreciate that. How would you like to proceed?

I checked it out, the HTI is 2-3/8" longer in that dimension than an SRS. I can make that easy enough. I took some pictures of the modification that you would have to do to attach the bag rider to the DT. I did this with a diagonal wire cutter, then razor knife and die grinder. To finish the...

Ok, thanks. I will compare to mine.

Do you have an SRS to compare it to for measurements? If so, measure from the front tip of the grip to the center of the mono pod on both. If not, measure your HTI

I certainly can, my only problem with that is I don't own one, or have one to measure. I have threatened to buy one though.

Let me see what I can do them for. We have been a bit busy at work the last few months. I will work up a fair price, and let you know.

Thanks! I works really well for F Class shooting. I cut my groups in half with this setup and the bag. It is quickly removable with one 1/4-20 screw in the bottom of the grip. The rear end clips on to the monopod. I inserted an aluminum plate inside the grip for the screw to securely thread...

Thanks for the info, I am definitely interested in the 6.5 PRC mags when available. I have modified my own mags and bolt stops for both cartridges. They do work, but not to a comfortable tactical or hunting level. Most of the issues are ejection.

I have noticed this problem with my 223 WSSM and 6.5 PRC barrels, never had this happen with my 300 WM or 338 LM barrels. I believe most of the problem is the front or neck of the shorter cases get tipped farther to the side when being pulled out through the barrel extension than the longer...

    Ruger 10-22 Custom Chassis Build

It was fun to design and build, especially around the 1022 my Dad bought for me many years ago. Thanks for your kind words! Happy New Year!

I find it helpful to have more power available, my SB 5-45 gives me a lot of range to work with.

It's a short rifle, that's one of the major advantages of the SRS. I can see how running all the spacers would probably help with the bulpup bolt operation, but I like to keep the rear short and add barrel inches for velocity. My scope sits quite far forward too, it just works for me. If I ever...

Sure, if you like. I built that to protect the turrets. A lot of people thought it was overkill, but I've always done things that way. Since then I changed optics and went to a Sphur mount. Also added some other features.

I did this when I used a Manfrotto QD plate and ball head. I made an aluminum V block with six screws drilled and tapped thru the plastic into the aluminum chassis, three on each side of the vee. You can do this to mount an ARCA rail too, it is very solid. I now use the RRS rail forearm.
