Maggie’s What does a tattoo say about you?

It says: "Senior Badge Explosive Ordnance Disposal" EOD can only be earned in the Military. ~Will

Maggie’s Whats the absolute worst conditions you'll go shooting?

A deployed combat zone. 3x. They all suck. Suck it up and go to the one way 'range'. Or not and choose to do something else. Its free country, real sacrifices are being made by others so that everyone else doesn't have to sacrifice & gets to do what they want to do when they want to do it...

Maggie’s What are you drinking right now!?

"Military Special" blended scotch whiskey. Gallon plastic jug, with hand grip for $18. Smooth as silk, dollar for dollar. Will

Quick and easy rear shooting bag

Perhaps another good use would be USED UP polishing media (I have lots of old corn & walnut media) in some sort of a RUBBER or NITRILE glove inside of one of these socks. That way when you squeeze it - the bag expands. If its a ziplock bag it won't expand much or it will pop. Best of luck. ~Will

    Maggie’s Motivational Pic Thread v2.0 - - New Rules - See Post #1

Every person who could understand it, should watch that video. Some are too shallow or inwardly focused to understand that video & the message it sends. Good stuff. ~Will

Hunting & Fishing Why Guns and Ammo HATES the .308

Yeah he stirred the pot pretty well. Shot placement is what matters. I have heard the "10% rule" - 'the operator of a piece of machinery has to be 10% smarter than the piece of equipment to make it work effectively.' To be 'gifted' is to be twice or more as smart as the equipment. Meaning...

    POS Closet to MAN CAVE

Sneaky drop ceilings! Nice little set-up - it is a start. The garage is my domain, but, I need to sell off a bunch of crap that I have collected through the years. Having TOO MUCH space for me has been my problem. ~Will

    Which bladder?

Bear - that is indeed a good bladder, but its not an Eberlestock product, it is made by SOURCE and can be purchased from many other retailers. The insulated tube does cut down on a hot first sip in the summer and a frozen first sip in the winter, but that weave does NOTHING to cut-down on...

Gunsmithing Finding a gunsmith in utah

How on earth did you draw that conclusion? Because I gathered the OPPOSITE. There are PLENTY depending on your weapon platform though. I linked up with Daniel V.______ (hasn't graduated yet & doesn't have a shop set-up) who is going through the Gunsmithing School out in Colorado and he...

    Rifle cases for shipping

You could always build a case out of 1/4" plywood and 1x2" wood. Then staple on your cardboard 'coverings' and ship that way. I guess it all depends on how much money you have to spend, what you are shipping and other resources you may or may not have. LWRCi ships their rifles out in foam and...

Maggie’s Simple home remedies that work!!

So what are them baggy's with water and pennies in them suppossed to accomplish over a door way? I think its a FRUGALITY / CHEAPSKATE detector. When they try to pinch a penny the bust the bag and end up all wet...

long-term attic storage of rifles, shotguns?

Yeah the temperature changes & high humidity are what is going to possibly get you. Cosmolene will melt & run at 125 F. So after a few weeks of 150 F plus days that cosmolene is going to flow with gravity from where it started at. I would go with VCI Poly Bags and a good oil. I would also...

What packs are people running for thier bugout bags?

I use a Coyote Kifaru Navigator as the family BOB cause it was issued. I have my ACU Kifaru EMR stripped down to just the frame & cargo panel in anticipation of Elk season approaching. DSG Arms is a good company that takes care of service members. That X3 looks like a good pack choice. ~Will

Gunsmithing Need Help Identifying Bottom Metal ?

Hello, I got this bottom metal in a trade, from another website. It was listed as Unknown Bottom Metal with an Accuaracy International 10 round .300WM magazine. I bought it, and found that I would have to inlet my HS precision stock to get the bottom metal to fit, and then lucked into...

    Multicam Viperskins

Yeah I jumped a bit too soon without paying attention. I bought a set of AIAW/AE 1.5 skins for my AICS 1.5 When I got them the installation was interrupted, as they did NOT correctly fit. My first reaction was DENIAL: "What the...? These HAVE to fit!" Nope. Next: ANGER. ARGH! Victor...

Rifle Scopes EuroOptic Unimount? Anyone Used it Before?

OK, I got mine about two weeks ago, and it works. Its decent, nothing spectacular. But then I saw the BUBBLE LEVEL! SWEET! That should end up saving me money right!?!? I put my Nightforce NXS 3.5-15x50mm into it and put it on my AI stock. Except for the scope cover & lens wipe, it is the...
