    4.050 Magazine

    Some guys just want to mag feed. Hunting a mag is nice but I don’t use one most of the time. If your running factory ammo most times it will mag feed. Can’t see a reason to mag feed a ct unless in battle or hunting. Jmo.

    Most don’t use a mag in elr. Bullet tips get beat up and flight times are so long you can shoot, eject, reload by hand and then watch your impact. There isn’t enough information in your post to answer your question. Though I wish I had a 4.050 mag for my 300wm sometimes

    Run barrel nuts on just about everything. Just won’t do it on that size cartridge again. I do feel it affected my pressure and extraction limits

    I’m getting more snow and a high of 31 today. Be a month or more before I can get to my mountain spots. I got a few spots out in the sage county I’m hoping to get to this week

    That’s not been my experience. With many of my straight tubes they shot so well it was hard to choose a load. Almost everything was flat and tight

    Rifling Twist-Rate Effect on Chamber Pressure

    I don’t see a point in gain twist barrels. So they shoot well. So do none gain twist barrels. I always go faster twist than needed. Never had a negative doing so.

    I don’t need to do it in the dark. I turn the brass with my fingers holding the head. Soon as I feel the temp change at the head it’s done. You’ll burn yourself and drop the brass before you can over do it.

    Recoil is nothing with a good brake. Watch impacts in the scope even at 100 yards with 338’s But keeping in your focus range 7saum would be my vote
