Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

I haven't had any issues with mine, I think the word is some people might have though. If it was a problem that someone was having seems like it would be pretty easy to fix or you could get the springs xrslug mentioned.

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

Top one is my 6mm Creedmor "budget SPR". Has a hawk hill barrel and 4-16x42 ATACR on it right now but will have a March scope on it soon and the ATACR is going to get put on the PBR-XP in 308 down below.

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

Glad I stocked up on them, I got five 10 rounders when they were around 40 dollars. Sucks if they are all dried up now.

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

Neither of mine will slam fire when I hit the butt with more force than it would have from the rifles being dropped from about shoulder high (estimated) with the MCARBO springs in them. I got to get a gauge from a friend to make sure I'm not misleading but they are both around 2lb pulls when I...

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

I put the pre-2008 in my PBR-XP and SPR. I wasn't trying to imply Timney triggers are unreliable but in my experience anytime you start throwing a lot of aftermarket or non OEM stuff on a rifle (especially triggers), that's about the time something shits the bed when you didn't want it to.

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

The reliability is exactly why I opted at other options rather than dropping in a whole new trigger in personally. Totally agree though you can polish up the factory and get it down to a nice light weight.

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

https://www.mcarbo.com/winchester-model-70-trigger-spring-kit.aspx It has good reviews and worked well for both my FNs. If it doesn't work all that great on yours, you will only be out 15 bucks.

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

Both mine are almost right at 2lbs (+ or - a few ounces) and all I did was take the factory leaf spring out and put in the MCARBO spring. Super easy to do and way cheaper than paying big bucks for another that will most likely put you around the same weight. Drop safe with the "butt stock...

Anyone here with 7.62x39 pistol/SBR suppressed?

Any uupdates on the RD 704? I have a Galil that I finally put a SF adapter on to try suppressed with supers but no joy on feeding due to being over gassed. Going to order a KNS piston head for it before long, didn't try it with the BB subs yet since it will primarily get shot with the supers...

AB Tactical App - Anyone else disappointed?

They got me with it too. Overall I didn't mind it except it was crazy over priced and it didn't do anything more than any other App despite the "Tactical" moniker. What really burnt me on it was when I got a new phone and followed the instructions it still wouldn't download on it. Reached out...

Frontier cartridge brand ammo any good?

I need to shoot some more of mine but out of the 40 rounds I shot was getting around 1.5 MOA groups. Could have been me or the gun just doesn't like them but I have consistently shoot under 1 inch with the 75 grain Hornady brand "match" hpbt rounds and did that same day. Did notice the frontier...

Dusted the First Gen FN SPR Off

The SPR and PBRs are definitely shooters, really like the simplicity of yours. Used to be a thread on here or when the hide was part of scout of a lot of nice FN rigs. I got to send in my SPR for a new barrel soon but I've been so busy shooting my PBR I haven't got around to it yet.

Rifle Scopes Razor HD 5-20 vs NF NXS 5.5-22

Gen 1 Razors are still great scopes today. They have a good reticle, glass and a shit ton of adjustable elevation. Still have one on my SAC 308 after all these years because it just works.

Absolute Zero PRS Southeast Regional Qualifier

These are great matches with a top notch facility, Paul has a great team/community established there. Hopefully I can make it to the September match and the weather is good.

Hunting & Fishing Ft Stewart, GA hog hunting

I did a decent amount of training in Ft. Stewart 6 years ago but didn't get out hunting them there unfortunately. Little to far of a drive for me at the time, there was a ton there though. I did get one at the Altamaha River wildlife management area but it took a lot of trips. Lot of guys...

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

I actually like having my brass getting launched a little bit during matches because its outside the pile of everyone else's. Losing 80% of your brass seems pretty unreasonable to me, I loose about as much as I used to with 700 style actions. Everyone has their preference, the more I used the...

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

I have an SPR and a PBR XP. The SPR needs a new barrel so it's been sitting in the safe for a bit. Like most people who actually use their rifles often, I take mine to matches, a class and hunting regularly. Recently been wondering what are some good aftermarket triggers for it? There used...
