Reloading Equipment WTB 6.5x47 lapua brass.

I recently picked up some Peterson Brass in a 500 count. It looks as nice, maybe better, than my Lapua. We’re no longer limited to Lapua blue box.

New ELR build! Need help choosing!

Any modern setup will get you to 1000-1500. RPR would be fine. Farther than that, a BAT, Borden, Kelbly, etc. would be the choice for me. A BAT M is incredibly versatile. 6br to 338 Lapua with different bolts. Pricey though.

    Realistic Lapua Budget?

Let’s see......an AXMC, a SB or TT scope, several Tooley barrels, and some reloading gear/supplies. Yep, 12k. Pay now or later as you realize you should’ve bought the best to start with.

Accuracy international axmc 338 vs custom 338 build at 1 mile.

I think it really comes down to what you’re comfortable with. The BAT allows any reasonable OAL because it’s single shot. Improved calibers with long OAL, no problem. You can get fiberglass stocks weighted to balance long, heavy barrels. Multiple trigger choices. The BAT is less money overall...

Would this be a good scale for reloading?

Until then, a good used balance beam and a magnifying glass will get you single grain of powder accuracy.

    Calling Belgian Malinois Owners

They certainly get better with age. He’s a little over 10. A healthy 86lbs at the vet last month.

    .308 Subsonic Reloading Myths?

I'm happy with Quickload. I've used it for years to model loads without having to actually shoot them. I don't know how accurate it would be for pistol powder, but it's close for rifle loads. I wouldn't trust it completely. One thing that I did notice while putting in the data, the velocity...

    .308 Subsonic Reloading Myths?

FWIW, I saw an older fellow shooting really light loads at the range one day. Plenty accurate at 100 yards. He said that you could use 8.0gr of Red Dot in a .308 with most heavier bullets for "rabbit loads." He was still alive when I left the range that day! Looks like it would only give a...

    WTB 6.5x47 laupa go guage

The folks at Dave Manson reamers are nice to deal with. They had both on the shelf when I ordered mine. Price and shipping were less than I could find for other brands second hand.

Doing a 338LM build need action suggestions.

Consider a single shot as well. Then the AI versions and newer 33XC can give more performance at longer ranges than standard versions without regard to OAL. BAT M is a great action and serves well as a switch barrel setup.

419 Hellfire or Sidewinder on a 20" 308 JP Medium Contour Barrel

I have the Sidewinders on my big magnums. I think it would be too large for your application. The JP brake works well on the AR platforms and is a bit smaller. I’ve used the SLR and JP adjustable blocks and I really prefer the SLR model with the positive “click” adjustments. Easy to tune and...
