    Chassis for BAT M action

XLR is the only chassis that I know of. I have a BAT M in one and I’m very happy. If you find another manufacturer, please post it. I have a spare action that could use a new home. For what it’s worth, a McMillan McHale stock makes a great multipurpose platform for a M.

XLR does, depending on the shape of your action.

    300 WM or 300 NM

Do you have room for a 30-338 Lapua? Good brass(necked down) and will do 3100 plus with a 230 Berger.

    280 Remington brass?

Remington is ok, but you’ll probably loose 10% in the sorting of cases. Lapua 30-06 necked down would be the best although it may be a little shorter in the neck. Watch to make sure you remove any carbon rings left in the chamber.

    300 PRC or 338 Lapua?

If you reload, go with the 338. Better brass, easy tuning, die selection, etc. If you shoot factory ammo, it’s hard to beat the $1.75 300PRC stuff.

Anyone using Starline Large Primer 6.5 Creedmoor brass?

The lot I bought had slightly thicker necks than hornady. It will need turned to fit into my match chamber. Chamfering alone won’t cut it. The Hornady match factory stuff fits fine.

    300 Lapua Magnum?

I have a 30-338 Lapua and 300 Norma. I’ve found that the 30-338 was much easier to tune and has a higher level of performance in the same barrel length. Oddly, brass is easier for the 30-338 at the moment since 338 Lapua is so plentiful. It does require some neck trimming and custom dies, so...
