    Quickload help or alternative?

    I used Crossover on my Mac for a couple of years with Quickload. Simply copy disc image to a thumb drive on a windows machine and it will load from there. I used Dropbox to sync with my other computers but that’s another thing all together.

    I have a large Crest unit. I “cleaned” the bluing completely off a Les Baer 1911 in about 20 minutes. Use care with “delicate “ items in the larger units. It does work well for bulk brass and ar15 bolts.

    6.5 123gr scenar

    I use 40.7gr RL17 with the 123 scenar in both a 28” and a 30”. It’s going 3060fps in the 30”. Both barrels are Bartlien. You could probably push them a little harder, but I didn’t see the reason in it. It does everything that this cartridge is supposed to do and isn’t hard on the rifle or brass.

    I’ve shot thousands out of my 6.5x47L with RL17 at 3000fps. Crazy accurate to 1000yds. Node is really wide and they are jump tolerant.

    My recent Peterson brass headspace was 0.014” short of “go” as well. Had to jam and fireform to chamber. Fired brass was “go” plus 0.001” so it doesn’t seem to be a reamer issue with my setup.

    I really like the Whidden one that fully encapsulates the case with the screw on lid. It not only measures overall headspace but gives a standard Go, no go reference as well.
