    .223ai with 80gr A-max's, rebarreling question

    I was shooting the 75 Amax at 3080 out of my 22" Broughton. That was a 1-9. I would second the long barrel satements but 22" was nice. If you go 24" and the 80g's you are going to need to stick with slow powders but it will still be a nice little stick.

    It's SN# 0007 so I nick named her Lucky. Wood has suck a great feel to it compared to anything else in the cold. That being said standard stocks look much better after a year of comp shooting.

    It should stick to it if you did it with 600 grit just make sure it's clean before you apply it.

    SAAMI allows for 0.0 - .006 on headspace so don't freak out but don't keep forcing that bolt down on that gauge either. That's asking for trouble.

    The mark is probably being caused by the ejector putting force on the bullet as it ejects. It's scraping the corners of the lug seat's on the way out. That's a guess with no photo. I perpendicular mark from rotating the bolt some how is probably not a good sign of things being perfect. The...
