There Are Still Some Good Deals On Ebay

Re: There Are Still Some Good Deals On Ebay I wouldn't mind sending him a grand from it. Its only 1k out of 26, leaving me with 25 left over. Of course I wouldn't tell him about it and keep it all so thats a moot point.

the feel of a freshly paint handgun...

Re: the feel of a freshly paint handgun... I hate painting with enamel style paints because they always leave a thickish weird feel. Regular krylon type paint dries just fine. I am having my G19 cerakoted at the moment buy a guy near me, and there is another one in Anderson that can do it...

Re: Best Gun Shop Stories... Share them! Bet that was pretty hairy and tense for the next 5 minutes. Why would an undercover cop do that?

is a .22 ethical for small coyotes?

Re: is a .22 ethical for small coyotes? I figured you did, just wondering what kinds you saw hit. I will us amy .17 on a coyote over a .22 any day.

Shooting mat critique. Updated with better photos.

Re: Shooting mat critique. Looks pretty well made. You can find the ACU or OD colors in thicker material that is stronger, but you won't be able to find it at a local fabric place. Should be easy to clip onto a backpack and you would never know if was there. Should also make for a good seat...

    Backpacking anyone?

Re: Backpacking anyone? Thats a pretty broad question. As far as eating supplies only take a bowl and a spoon or a spark if you want and try to find them in Lexan so they are light. Can go with a metal all purpose eating tool too. Proper backpack fit will relieve a lot of strain you could...

    Squib Loads in a Ruger

Re: Squib Loads in a Ruger I'm thinking that was done on purpose to show the strength of their revolver. There is no way someone would keep shooting their gun after the second squib because they would be able to tell something was not right. But thats just my guess.

    60 grain!?

Re: 60 grain!? The slower the twist the better. Light bullets need to be spun fast, and heavy ones slow. A 1:9 or 1:7 would be great for the 60g.

    Slidefire on .22

Re: Slidefire on .22 Would probably be much more work on your part to get it to function. I would bet that I could pul the trigger faster and more accurately than manually sliding the stock back and fourth with the little recoil from the .22. I have seen videos of them working, but I also saw...

    60 grain!?

Re: 60 grain!? They are just as loud as a normal .22 when shot without a suppressor. If I was going to run around shooting out lights in urban areas I would want sub sonic and a suppressor. They still hit pretty hard and are quieter than regular velocity rounds and a suppressor. Just my .02.

    Savage TRR-SR Stock

Re: Savage TRR-SR Stock Boyd's makes a stock much like the TRR. So yes, you can get a basic one and upgrade the stock. Compared to the FV-SR its much more expensive and meant to be more than just a woods gun, hence the contours and rails.

    Ordered a Colt/Umarex 1911 22 Rail model

Re: Ordered a Colt/Umarex 1911 22 Rail model Since it made by Umarex, the cheap airsoft gun company, I would expect it to be about as good of quality as the Walther P22 which they also put out. They could have stepped their game up a little with that particular model which I hope they did. I...
