    Suppressors material used on suppressor cover

    I've used a 'heat shield' pad from Home Depot in a pinch (used for soldering pipes in tight locations with a mapp gas torch), which doesn't catch fire with a direct flame. It's a nomex felt or something.

    Suppressors Need a suppressor cover- Tab? Elite Iron? or ???

    I own two Tab, 1 AG. They are really nothing alike, other than both being made out of cloth. ETA: I see Tab has a newer cover than the two I purchased. I don't know which came first, but after my first tab frayed itself apart at the front of the can, I bought the AG.

    Interesting Tripod

    It's 2 - 2.5 kgs, so it weighs more than most 'conventional' tripods with a hog saddle. Neat tubing, but a lot of additional complexity in the head to accomodate legs that don't lengthen/shorten.

    Suppressors Are suppressors covers really needed?

    My tab gear cover worked well, but front edge frayed apart. Multiple covers for the same can have all been slightly different sizes. I've found the armageddon gear cover to fit perfectly, no fraying. I leave my cover in position all day.

    DTA covert ( owners questions )

    The pin can break if you drop a conversion kit into the rifle, but if you slide it in gently, you will be fine. If you break one, it's not a big deal and just takes a few minutes to install a new one.

    I've heard of one made here in the US, it blew itself apart and I recall the guy searching all over the range for the rest of the parts. For a hair over an ounce more weight, I'd rather have the Thunderbeast BAS, only a tiny bit heavier, shorter, and a proven design. I have one on order now...
