Official Accuracy International AT First Look

Honestly, I'd run a dry patch through the bore and make sure there's some grease on the backsides of the lugs. Other than that I wouldn't bother with anything, just go out and shoot it. Don't bother cleaning it until your groups start to up, no special break in needed.

So, I decided to take apart my rifle.

Holy crap, wtf is with people getting so bitchy about him not wishing to name the smith? The rifle was serviceable, it's not like he got taken to the cleaners like some of the hack jobs we have seen. However, he merely wished to tell people to make sure you know what you're paying for when you...

    Buyer/Seller beware on Gunbroker

There is absolutely no fucking way I'd ship a rifle without full payment even if I know the person. I take way too many fraud / theft reports to even think about doing anything remotely questionable.

    Arizona Shoot Last Sunday

Damn, will have to try and make it out with you guys sometime soon, been killing me not being able to shoot the past couple of weeks. Very nice!

    Best case trimmer

It's as accurate as your resizing is. It truly is very consistent in how it cuts, chamfers, and deburrs your brass. It's fast, easy on your hands, and it just keeps trimming and trimming. Trimming by hand is tedious and your hands will not like you for long. Several of the other mechanized...

    Snipers hide window decals?

Yep, we see it all the time. Makes you an easy target. I'm all for supporting all things firearms related, but I put no references to weapons on my vehicle.

    Use of FrogLube question

I've been playing with frog lube for the past year or two and I really like it, including the paste form. I've been running limited trials of FireClean for the past year and don't find it to be any better than the FrogLube. Both are good. I've never used heat to apply it, just use a thin coat...

    Best case trimmer

I started with a manual trimmer then advanced to an RCBS Power Trim Pro with a three-way cutter before moving to the Giraud, I will never go back now. My hands thank me, the results are consistent each time and it's very fast. I no longer dread trimming.

    KNS trigger pins

The pins are great for a select fires and should be mandatory on pistol caliber ARs as they tend to be really harsh on the pins. (At least in the case of the DDLES block mag lowers).

Where is anyone finding Powder & Primers?

Keep checking powder valley's website. You can get plenty of primers right now, just not the 215M right now. You can find plenty of other good options though, just look often.

Shooting Mats - Midway vs Voodoo vs ???

If size is of no issue and you want a well built/padded mat the Crosstac mats are awesome. If you want something compact and don't care about padding then as always, you can never go wrong with TAB gear.

Suppressors Time for another 22 suppressor

The Spectre II would make a good second can addition, especially for use on a rifle. It's components can be dipped making it easy to clean like your Sparrow. It's going to be heavier, but it has a little more volume and no first round pop. The Ryder does not impress me being 22lr rated only and...

Ban on body armor in the works!

Yes, in an ideal scenario where backup on scene that is definitely one possible and very effective option. But in many places that do not have large PDs and backup is minutes away a lone officer who has found himself in that situation it may not be possible. My point is that some people here act...

Ban on body armor in the works!

Easy on a square range. Not so much in a dynamic situation where someone is firing back at you and you're stuck in your 3A armor as the officer and you have a suspect wearing 3A or better armor who already has the jump on you in an ambush situation or pretty much any other situation where a...

Ban on body armor in the works!

It is all that is needed, a state law on the books which does exist in several states already to my knowledge. With a law on the books that guarantees a minimum sentence under a conviction the prosecutor's cannot provide a "deal" lower than the minimum on these sorts of cases. On your more...

Ban on body armor in the works!

Yet another example of the nanny state. Sure, I don't want to go up against someone wearing level IIIA body armor let alone a level III plate carrier while I am on a call. But who seriously thinks this would stop the determined person from getting this through other means? A simple state law...

    Can't decide 10.5 vs 11.5 SBR upper

You shouldn't run into any issues running simunitions through a 10.5 SBR, I've had no issues with it during trainings. Just throw the simulations bolt in and rock on.

What is Ramshot TAC good for?

Tac is good behind heavy 223 rounds, I use it exclusively for 77gr precision loads. It meters very well in a progressive press and you can make 223 loads that perform well out to 800. It is a bit temp sensitive though in higher heats.

AI AT Barrel change POI shift

It's not mainly an issue of velocity, it has more to do with harmonics of each barrel, etc. For example, my AT sees only a .1 MIL vertical shift between the stock 20" 308 barrel and the 24" 260 barrel, however I see a .5 MIL horizontal shift. All that matters is that your shift is repeatable, I...

Tips and secrets for increasing the accuracy in an ar15

It's not hard to figure out which manufacturer is being spoken of if you've followed posts here over the years and on other places. It has been seen as a trend on occasion, it's not necessarily the rule for this particular manufacturer, but it's not uncommon either. I can understand someone in...
