    Rechamber XCR .223 to .223AI

Re: Rechamber XCR .223 to .223AI If you want the best results, then the bbl should be removed. I had rifles rechambered to Ackley configuration without removing the bbl and they shot great. You just need to make sure that yoyu set up your dies for the proper headspace. That said..the rifles...

    Fastest flattest screaming SOB

Re: Fastest flattest screaming SOB I wouldn't use any 22 caliber if I was hunting Hogs. I've hunted them before and the big hogs need a bit more for a clean kill unless you are using Barnes bullets with PERFECT shot placement.

    Winchester 70 bolt fit into a 670?

Re: Winchester 70 bolt fit into a 670? If the 70 is a push feed and same length action the bolt should fit. Some 670's have a 2 position side mounted safety like a Rem 700 and I'm not sure how that will work since the 70 has the safety on the bolt.

PGM vs AI, TRG - quality?

Re: PGM vs AI, TRG - quality? The PGM has a very quick bbl change which is a Nice feature to have on such an expensive rifle. Just buy a bbl in another caliber and a quick change can be done in the field/range by the user. I haven't shot a PGM but did play with one and I would bet that...

    Remington 5R .223 did i get screwed?

Re: Remington 5R .223 did i get screwed? I worked at a gunshop and have opened and seen more new guns than I can remember and I have NEVER seen a bolt look ANYTHING like that! Even if the bolt was at a shop on display or gunshows, there is NO WAY in Hell that I'd accept that rifle unless I...

    Primers cratering on 5r WTF!!!!

Re: Primers cratering on 5r WTF!!!! Happened to me many times with Remingtons. I installed a bushing on the firing pin hole and problem gone. Be careful using max loads because I've done that and had gas and tiny bits of metal smack me in the face. I'd drop a C note and bush the firing pin hole.

    300 WM Barrel Life...

Re: 300 WM Barrel Life... When the 300 WM was popular in Long Range Highpower shooting some years ago before the WSM's, 6.5-284 and other smaller calibers now used, bbl life in "slow fire" was between 800-1300 rounds. That said, the bbl was NG for shooting 1/2 moa out to 100 yards. You still...

Re: Tikka T3 lite 260 260 have not imported into the US and there are No plans to do so. Pretty crazy when you consider how popular the 260 is here. My understanding is that the 6.5x55 will no longer be imported either.

    22-250 Fast Twist Barrel Life?

Re: 22-250 Fast Twist Barrel Life? Experimented with a 22-250 with a 1/8 twist and it shot flat! However...bbl life was brutal. shot around 800 rounds of sub moa then was gd fpr 1 moa for around 300 rounds or so then chunks of the lands broke off near the throat. A lot depends on the powder...

    2012 SHOT

Re: 2012 SHOT I'm just not getting some of these modular stocks that have about 100 different parts in the cheekpiece alone. I can't imagine how many things can get caught on those buttstock assemblies. Sometimes simple is better.

    Tikka M695 vs Tikka M658

Re: Tikka M695 vs Tikka M658 The Tikka 695 is a great action. I have a number of 595's (same except short action) that I shot in competition and they worked flawlessly. In fact...of all of the rifles I have ever owned ( and there have been quite a few high priced guns like TRG & AI), a Tikka...

Re: Gunsmoke=Bull$*!t I watch the show because I love guns & shooting. (looking @ Paige doesn't hurt too) I think the prices he charges customers are outrageous, but nobody forced them to buy the guns or do the work on their guns. interestingly enough...his gunsmithing prices on his website...
