330 Baer Custom ? Pictures added.

Re: 330 Baer Custom ? Yea you stole it! You paid for a scope with stock and work on the stock. The rest you got for nothing.... The 330 is just a 338lm with about 20 more grains of case cap. Its basicly the same thing as the 30-416 IMP. I bet its a turn neck chambering though.

Rifle Scopes Which rings and height?

Re: Which rings and height? Medium should work fine. The high or medium high like seekins has will work great. I always suggest having at least 1/8" between bell and barrel. If you have seen what happens when that guns goes off on a high speed camera, you wont want it to close to your barrel.

Re: Remington Stock Experts - A question for you.... Usually you can feel the release agent that they used still on them. It just soaks in the pores and never wants to come out easy. I hate bedding them just for that reason. Its alot of work.

Gunsmithing Question about a chamber reamer.

Re: Question about a chamber reamer. What angle is the freebore at? .2 is most likely for the very heavy bullets. .180 is a normal freebore for the 140 in a 6.5 at 1.5 deg i believe.

    .308 loads not chambering?

Re: .308 loads not chambering? You could have a few problems. Most likely the chamber they were fired in is longer then yours. You need to bump the shoulders back on them. Next OAL might be to long or there might be a burr on the necks that needs knocked off. Its not likely that its just the...

How crucial is trimming brass to exact OAL?

Re: How crucial is trimming brass to exact OAL? Guess i wasnt clear. I meant that cutting them down any extra will make almost no difference. As long as they dont hit in the chamber you will be fine. And yes the more you trim back the more pressure you loose but .005 does not make much of a...

    Proper necking up procedure.

Re: Proper necking up procedure. When going from the smaller caliber up it will thin the neck some. Yes different brass will have different neck thickness but you shouldn't have to turn. You might if you go down from 7mm but still shouldn't be enough to make you turn them in order for them to...
