Seems I can't send yo a PM for some reason.
If you can live without your TAD for a few days, I'll get a cap printed up and give you a USB power cable system for it when I return it. Ship to

I make the CUBA for SOK, the battery cap on the TAD is not the same as the COTI's, I need to get a unit in hand for a few days to create a new cap. As yet, no one has offered to do so.
I've got a local widow with a couple MG's in the estate, so I'm posting here before they go off to a broker or auction. Super nice condition1917 on a DLO sideplate with tons of extras. Tripod and cradle, AA extension and sights, pano sight, belt loader, complete spare parts kit in the case...
Double start acme thread. Give me a mailing address in a PM and I'll send you a cap to test fit. Might need to get a unit here to make a new cap. Looks a little shorter, but that's not a big issue.
Not exactly a strawman when you reference the issue in your own post. And 'likely' wouldn't rise above it? I presume you refer to ricochets. If words are to be useful, they must have meaning. You said 'rise above the bore', which is simply not accurate.
We need drop (from the bore line) to calculate for inclined fire trajectories. See page 42, the first page of vacuum trajectory where we need the bore angle from horizontal as part of the integration equations. That superelevation angle is the bore line. Ballistic arcs are depicted relative...
The issue is up relative to what? The only solid relationship is the bore centerline. The barrel is nominally at an up angle, relative to the sights. If I shoot downhill, is the barrel angled up or down? Up in relation to the sights, down in relation to gravity. Now, if I shoot downhill...
NO, it will not. The bullet is dropping below the centerline of the bore as soon as it leaves the muzzle. The barrel is angled up relative to the LOS, so the bullet is started on an upward path RELATIVE TO THE SHOOTER / LOS , not the bore line.
I have 2 new in box DBAL-PL's, integrated White Light/Vis green laser with IR Illum/IR laser, $650 each.
2 new Raine PVS-14 padded pouched, 1 black, 1 Multicam , $40
