Night Vision Vortex Impact 4000 Rifle/Rail mounted Range finder???

Certainly seemed fine, a little more perceptible delay from 70F, but that's it.

Night Vision Vortex Impact 4000 Rifle/Rail mounted Range finder???

You can leave the unit on for 10+ hours and run scan mode for 5 and use no more that 50% of a 5000mAh battery pack, if that's important.

Night Vision Realistic accuracy expectations with a thermal

Set your day scope on 3x and shoot a group. Given that the thermal will have somewhat more trouble with a fine point to aim on, you will be a bit less precise than the 3x day sight. That said, you will be "minute of critter" at all ranges at which you can actually identify a target.

Cone drilling for 338 Lapua and 308

You cannot have suppressor parts alone, a set of baffles is itself a suppressor as per ATF regulations, like it or not. You cannot just swap baffle stacks. Most rifle cans are sealed in any event. Buy a .338 can and the mounts for each rifle, you can always shoot smaller calibers, so long as...

Night Vision Custom USB power supply options for Thermal and NV

About $350, the Sidekick only needs a USB-C connector, no battery cell or cap system

Night Vision Custom USB power supply options for Thermal and NV

Normally $450, depending on options, that's based on DC plugs and 24" overall length. Changing to Fischer plugs for a complete waterproof system would add to that. I'm not sure any of the Fischers would fit the 14, maybe a waterproof Lemo?

Night Vision Custom USB power supply options for Thermal and NV

Parts in stock for DC plugs, Lemo and Fischer cables, 4 pin and 7 pin types. This supports the BNVD's, I have printed cap adapters for the DTNVS, PVS-14, IR Patrol's and COTI's. Other cap adapters can be created. USB battery packs and standard NVG packs like the L3, AB, Argus and Nocturn are...

Night Vision Going dual tube thermal - need opinions

I don't know of any way to really collimate a dual thermal setup. That said, I know a fair number of people run dual thermals and it does not seem to affect it, or them. YMMV.

Night Vision Custom USB power supply options for Thermal and NV

If it is not a splitter combined with some other cable, you just use a commercial USB C cable with the ends you want. Somthing like this would normally work. Angled USB C

Night Vision UTC-X USB power/data cable

Trijicon got back to me. They 'cannot divulge' this information. This despite the fact that the units shipped with a cable and finding the pinout from the cable would take all of five minutes.

I do still have some 21's available, as well as some accessories.

Night Vision Vortex Impact 4000 Rifle/Rail mounted Range finder???

Correct, and USB power bank. Velcro, ranger band, there are some 1913 and MLoc adapters out there, plenty of options to attach it somewhere. I epoxied a small piece of rail to one and got a cheap two sided 1913 rail adapter, works for me.

Night Vision Vortex Impact 4000 Rifle/Rail mounted Range finder???

Tested the prototype unit last night by turning the auto shutoff off, plugging the power supply in and leaving it out overnight. Temp got down to 20F, unit still running this AM, 8 hours continuous. Returns a range in just over 1 second, I did not program any ballistics so I don't know if a...

Night Vision Vortex Impact 4000 Rifle/Rail mounted Range finder???

I should expect the remote power supply will deal with this. Lithium's are pretty good in the cold, but it does reduce the amp hours available, by as much as 30-40%, so on a high draw device, runtime may not be very good, which seems the case here.

Night Vision Vortex Impact 4000 Rifle/Rail mounted Range finder???

OK, 8 of the ND filter holders are ready to go. If you don't need a power cable, or don't want to wait a couple more weeks for those to be complete, you can order one if these now. If you are already on the list for a power cable, I'll let you know when they are all done and you can add a...

Night Vision B.E. Meyers KIJI IR Laser

I no longer have the Luna, I'll look and see if I kept dimensions. It's 20 minutes work on the mill, you could do it on a drill press and some file work.

Night Vision B.E. Meyers KIJI IR Laser

I milled out a strip of Aluminum to fit. The strip gets threaded holes for screws on the LaRue side, then through holes for the screws to the Luna. You'll need longer metric screws to the Luna, the factory ones are quite short.
