    New match backpack

Does the usability of the hard shell pack outweigh the weight of it? That's my only drawback is how heavy that thing is.

Auto Trickler v3 has trouble trickling H4350

Can I ask what your process for cleaning them was?

Auto Trickler v3 has trouble trickling H4350

Wow, that video was overwhelming, lol! Great info and after seeing a vid of how far up you guys are raising your tubes I think that may be my issue. Thanks for taking the time!

Auto Trickler v3 has trouble trickling H4350

Maybe I haven't gone high enough on the trickler? I mean I thought I had tried up to around -1/2 degrees but maybe I should try more? It would cause more powder to have to fill the tube before pushing it out the end which should make it more consistent... Interesting thing to think about, thanks...

Auto Trickler v3 has trouble trickling H4350

So the issue from what I can tell is that the kernels aren't dropping into the tube freely. They are getting hung up when dropping in and causing gaps in the trickler tubes conveyor belt action. The AT relies on a consistent flow of powder out of that tube so when you have gaps in the flow it...

Auto Trickler v3 has trouble trickling H4350

First off, I love my auto trickler, so this isn't a knock against them in any way. I have used the AT with 4 or 5 different powders and it seems that it has a little trouble trickling Hodgdon H4350 consistently, which obviously slows down the speed in which it can reliably finish a charge. I've...

    Optic Manipulation

Definitely gonna take some practice to install that new habit, lol. Sounds like a slow dry fire element to incorporate

    Optic Manipulation

I guess my brain has been wired backwards, lol! I'm not above giving something different a try since you've made some pretty convincing points. Good info, as always sir.

MDT 12rd 308 mags or AICS

My mdt 12rd mags work well in my mpa chassis' in 260rem and 308. They feed much smoother than my aics mags do in the same rifles

    Picking a chassis

Honestly the only other option worth considering, IMO, is an MPA. You can find them here in the classifieds all the time for $7-800. They have all the adjustability and features of an MDT. Depending on your son's LOP you may need to spring for their youth buttstock if the adjustability in the...

    Serious Tactical Belts

Does anyone have any thoughts on the G code version of the ronin and safe life belts? It's a similar design but a bit cheaper.

Benefits of practicing with a .22lr vs just dry firing more

I haven't had the budget yet to go RRS but the 2 budget tripods I have used are the shadowtech pig-0311 which is only like $138 and works okay. It's solid and heavy but could be a bit more stable. The one I'm using now is the Innorel RT90c that was $300ish and I believe it works great! So just a...

Benefits of practicing with a .22lr vs just dry firing more

I've noticed some definite gains using this method and paper targets @ 100yds. I definitely need to mix in some dummy rounds though, I kinda forgot about that training tactic. Happy training

    New Shooter trying to decide

Yeah, I mis-typed, my bad. Lol! I meant to use your numbers of 4000-6000rds. But my point is still true, making a blanket statement on the high end of barrel life for a 308 is misleading. I have competition buddies that have run up to 3600rds on their 6.5cm barrels before pulling, but that's not...

Benefits of practicing with a .22lr vs just dry firing more

So something that I picked up off a podcast from Phillip Velayo, was to just use a tripod and a gamechanger bag at these basic heights: low kneeling, medium kneeling, high kneeling, low standing, high standing. By just bringing those 2 "prop" items to the range I'm able to practice 5 different...

    New Shooter trying to decide

Come on now, you seem like a gun savvy gentlemen shooting groups like that. If you believe that every 308 barrel out there is gonna get 6500-8500 more rounds than a 6.5cm then you must be dealing with a pretty small sample size. Yes, you are absolutely correct, there are plenty of 308 barrels...

Good god man! That is awesome! I wish I had a spot to set up something like this... Happy shooting brother, a little steel addiction never hurt anything
