    New to longer range shooting

Re: New to longer range shooting The 155's will work just fine out to 600 and beyond. Lapua brass is by far the most consistent, durable brass you can buy. When shooting long range it pays to have the best brass you can afford.

    Make the change?

Re: Make the change? Sounds to me like you found a great load for that rifle. IMHO if I were you I'd just buy a few more boxes of 168 MK bullets and start getting serious about trigger time. I've seen way too many people get caught up in trying different combos that they get overwhelmed and...

Advanced Marksmanship Question on prone shooting position

Re: Question on prone shooting position Shoot in whatever position gives you the most consistency. To me it doesn't matter where the gun recoils to, as long as the results on the target are good.

Case sorting - how much variance do you allow?

Re: Case sorting - how much variance do you allow? I've said this before in past posts like this, case weight doesn't mean near as much as case volume (variation). I don't worry about the weight, it's all about capacity, if you really want a low ES.

    Difference in Primers

Re: Difference in Primers I've done lots of testing between the benchrest primers. Most of the time velocity variations are small and accuracy is not really affected.

    Neck Tension vs. Time

Re: Neck Tension vs. Time As long as the change in neck tension does not affect your accuracy, don't sweat it. Most of my rifles don't care, but my 6PPC does. Groups will open up with it if I load the ammo too far in advance of shooting.

.338 Lapua Magnum Brass, Bullets, etc Cost

Re: .338 Lapua Magnum Brass, Bullets, etc Cost I think that there is some of a "mystique" surrounding the 338LM. Anytime I put mine on the firing line, people will ask me what caliber is blowing shit off the benches. When they find out what it is, their reaction is quite interesting. THE...

    .308 or .300 win mag

Re: .308 or .300 win mag Based on your criteria, I'd go with the 300WM. Mine had excellent barrel life and I could load down to 308 Win 30-06 velocities for hunting with no problems noted.
