    Starting Load for a Short M1A/M14 ??

Re: Starting Load for a Short M1A/M14 ?? I would start with W748. As for load suggestions I don't have any as I've never dealt with a 308 with that short of a barrel.

Owning multiple rifles in the same cal?

Re: Owning multiple rifles in the same cal? If you already have a rifle in 300WM I wouldn't by the 300WSM. It seems like you have most of your bases covered with the rifles you have. Any thoughts on doing something ultra long range?

A hell of a time with OAL!

Re: A hell of a time with OAL! If you're pretty sure that it's neck tension doing this, here's something to try. Measure your all of your bullet lengths (from base to tip) and write these measurements down. Find 5-10 that are EXACTLY the same length and use them to load up any of the cases...

    Jumping Berger 155 VLDs?

Re: Jumping Berger 155 VLDs? They probably won't work well with that much jump. Most of the time Berger VLD's like to be right at or into the lands. Not always, but most of the time. The only way to know is to test them out.

    Press for 338 lapua

Re: Press for 338 lapua I load for the 338 LM on a Hornady LNL single stage press. It works great. The only complaint that I have is that you have to angle the round to get it in the shellholder. Other than that, the press produces good ammo.

Re: Who uses Moly? Shaneous69: If you keep all components and settings the exact same when switching over to moly then my experience says anywhere from .5 to 1.5 grains over is needed. To find out how much more is needed you should have a good chronograph. Chrono's are really the only...

    neck sizer die....important?

Re: neck sizer die....important? Sounds like your vendor got his wires crossed. The best way to go if you reuse the same brass in that one rifle is to use the neck sizer. The neck sizer will only size the neck of the case and leaves the rest of the case alone. This is good for accuracy...

What Dies for my 300win mag

Re: What Dies for my 300win mag I've used both companies you mentioned and I have to say the Redding dies are the best. I've had severe consistency problems using Lee stuff and never a problem (knock on wood) using Redding. Anyways, just my 2 cents.
