    What is this "cleaning" you speak of? Na I just shoot it till I feel like cleaning it or I notice a drop in accuracy. Which usually involves pulling a bore snake through it and shooting it a bit more.

    I run 77smk with a cannelure because I found them easier to find as well. I did think about the effect on accuracy as well but I don't think it is that big an issue after its been pushed into the riffling and forced out the other end. They seem just as accurate as none cannelure projectiles.

    I have both as well I use my soft cases way more than hard if I'm just going to the range or out hunting or blasting steel in the hill I will take a a rifle in a soft case. However if I am going to be flying and the like I will pack a hard case.

    Hi TB. The rifle you have is still altogether and shootable ? My advise is to put a scope on it and learn to shoot on it read the threads on here and ask lots of questions as you learn to shoot you will also learn how you would like your rifle set up.
