    From Varget to 4064

I loaded to lower node of 43.0 gr Varget, Lapua brass, SMK175. I used 4064 interchangably at 42.2 gr which had same dope to 800

    Rifle Scopes Lowest 34mm rings?

I tried to mount my SB 3-20 in Seekins 0.92" rings -- the bottom of the turret house WILL interfere and touch the base.

Gunsmithing Problem with Near Mfg. Sako Mount (Fixed Them)

Not the same gun but the Sako TRG is known for having a small ejection port and doesn't fling brass like a mini-16 extractor. I always had to run my bolt back fast else the spend case would not eject. Just in case you're fingering it back gently, try running the bolt harder.

    Experiences with the 155 Palma???

Same experience as above -- will never find lands so just used 2.820. 45-46 Varget always worked good. I think 45.5 Varget is an old vanilla Palma shooter load.

    Tikka T3 .308 Win reloading

The absolute best loads for my old Tikka Scout 308 were... 100-200 yard paper punching: 44gr Varget, Win brass, Fed 210M primer, 168 AMAX or BTHP, 2.820" 600+ steel: 45.0-45.5gr Varget, Lapua brass, Fed 215M primer, SMK 155 Palma, 2.820" <-- yes, 215M large rifle 'mag' primer Both...

I can only get magnum primers...

I used to own a Sako TRG in 308 that shot better with mag primers. No ill effects to the rifle.

Rifle Scopes Schmidt and Bender Marksman Sunshade

Personally my favorite cap. Have used them on PR's I owned and have a set on SB 3-20. SB is using them now for a reason. I think the only gripe folks tend to have is they are expensive for a cap+adaptor, and since they are bulky, if your scope is already too close to your bore they won't fit...

If you get a Tenebraex ARD for the S&B 56mm you also get the advantage of Tenebraex Tough cap compatibility. Check EuroOptic.

Atlas on Seekins mount has play

With the QD lever completely disengaged, push it so the octagon screw cap on the other side pushes out, then turn it clockwise. Try 1/8 of a turn each time and remount on your rifle until it locks without wobble.

Rifle Scopes not sure what height scope ring to buy for new night force

Most standard flat top ARs are mated best with 1.4-1.5" rings. Taller rail models like the HK and POF are about 0.25" taller and mate well with 1.125-1.25" rings. 56mm bell needs at least about 1.25" to clear the flat top. I like moving my scopes around a bunch cause I get bored, so I went...

Rifle Scopes GAP Gladius Optic Recomendations

I tried Hensoldt 4-16, Hensoldt 3-12, SB 4-16 and NF F1 on my Gladius. The 30mm tube with 0.82" Seekins gave the lowest sightline (0.10" lower than 34mm tube in 0.92" Seekins). Something about the scope weight, profile and size just felt right on the Gladius since it's a fairly small/light gun.

    post your best .308 load

My custom rifles with match chambers like ~45.0 Varget/SMK 155 Palma My old Tikka Scout liked 45.5 Varget/SMK 155 Palma My old Sako TRG with a long/loose chamber loved 46.0 Varget/SMK 155 Palma <-- this would be hot as hell for most guns Should find a slow node ~43.5 Varget, and the fast node...
