BadgeCam from the Weezer Wife Shooting

Damn. I had forgotten about that one. I don't think I'd be a cop anymore after that. I do remember the guy checking his socials while peeking around the corner though. Government is only a reflection of the people. "A republic, if you can keep it"

    StaBall HD vs H1000

Been wanting to try retumbo in my winmag also. Book velocity looks promising. Not sure of its availability compared to h1k.

    StaBall HD vs H1000

I'd have to dig through my targets and see, buy I think it maxed out around 2850. And it was on the hot side. I gotta have 2900 to make me happy. I'm sitting pretty at 2905 with the N165.

    StaBall HD vs H1000

Same. Bought a pound to try in my 300winmag with 215's and I just couldn't get the speed that I could with h1k or magpro. Shooting N165 now and loving it.

The Gay Tiger is tempting me from shooting straight with 6BR.

People think 3-400 yards with a 22 is silly too. But a lot of us here sure do enjoy it.

    6mm max

Is anybody making bushing dies for the 6max ? All I've found is Lyman and Lee for dies.

I might give the prebore a go on my next one. I've got a 6mm blank in the shop now that is probably going to end up a 6 dasher. It's got plenty of shank and it's a short case so if I screw it up I can probably still save it.

Question on pre drilling. Do you go just deep enough that the pilot will still engage the bore, or do you not worry about the pilot? I've always been told a reamer will naturally follow the center of whatever hole it's started in. As long as there are no opposing forces pushing it off center...

I might give it a shot on my next one. I'm always down to learn a better way to do things.

A mill is next on my list. I was doing some milling in my lathe the other day, but it's a lot of setup and it's not ideal. Would be much faster in a mill.

Glad you found value in it. Whatever you do, don't get into doing your own work thinking it's going to save you money. It is a fun learning process though if you enjoy that sort of stuff. And after having a lathe you wonder how you ever got along without one.

The machine that originally chambered this barrel a a jet 1336PBD. Late 80's Taiwanese bench top machine. Fairly heavy for what it was. It built a lot of good rifles before I got it. I sold that machine to buy my current lathe. This one is a profit master. Made in Brazil. 14x60. Knew the...

    Real gunsmiths chime in.

Thanks for chiming in. Based on what you said above I'm going to say inadequate tool holding combined with the brand new reamer and my lack of experience is what got me the first time around. And quite possibly a machine that wasn't up to what I was asking of it. This evening when I got home...
