Wheel weights to add weight to stock or chassis?

Highpower shooters use wheel weights taped on the inside of AR-15 handguards for that purpose. They also use a lead weight in the buttstock (cleaning kit compartment) for balance. Good Luck Jerry

    350 Legend

I really think Winchester missed the boat by not using a standard 5.56 casing. Their larger case base size means you need to use .350 Legend brass. I thing that this will hurt popularity. Good Luck Jerry

6mm accuracy after barrel worn out?

Define 'Burnt Out' Someone like David Tubbs may have a different criteria that I do for what burned out means. For my last two 'burned Out' barrels: 1) 7mm Rem Mag would not hold on a 8.5 X 11 piece of paper at 200 yards. 2) 6.5 Rem Mag approximately 8 inch group at 100 yards.... Neither of...

    Hole in side of receiver

Bench rest matches require the bolt to be removed unless shooting. When shooting the screw keeps the bolt in place. BR shooters do not have extra parts on their triggers. Bolt extraction pieces, safeties etc.

62 grain green tip- accuracy expectations

I don't reload ball ammunition, not worth the effort. Agree with above, if MOA you're doing good.

Hunting & Fishing Need help with hunting backpack (Mystery Ranch vs Kuiu)

Any pack you choose has to fit your body. Only you will know which feels the most comfortable. I had a ill fitting pack on a Elk hunt in western Montana. I suffered every day. I got the straps moved by a shoemaker when I got back, for the next trip. Good luck Jerry

One problem with a fixed power is when shooting in early morning fog. Dialing down will allow you to see your target.

    7mm rem mag bullet

Will a 1-9 twist stabilize the 180 gr VLD? I had good luck with 175 SMKs in a 1-9.25 twist 40X barrel in 7mm RM.

.223 1/9 twist 20 inch barrel. 68 Hornady or 69 grain Sierra bullets?

My 1-9 twist AR shoots 69 SMK better then the 75 OTM. Shoots 77 SMK even better. Only your unique barrel will decide.

    7mm Rem Mag

My 9.25 twist 40X barrel shot the 175 SMK very well. You should look at a twist calculator for 'very long' VLD bullets to see if they will work.

    Practical rifle weight

On an Elk hunting trip to western Montana in 2016 I carried a 11 pound Pre-64 M-70 in 300 Mag with Mcmillian stock and NF 3.5x15 scope, After humping the Rockies for a few days I was ready for a lighter rifle. Remember you are also carrying a pack with other necessary gear: clothing, food...

advice on first time reloading components for 223

I have found that my 1-9 likes 52 gr, 69 gr, reloads and 77 gr SMK BH reloads. It doesn't like 75 gr OTM BH reloads. I do not reload ball ammunition, it to cheap. Good luck Jerry
