    RPR 338 damaging brass

First time out with the Ruger RPR 338. Mini ladder test , 285 Hornady , H1000 Federal primer, Norma brass Then I noticed an odd deformation on some of the fired cases, it is not very deep, however it can be felt with a fingernail Any ideas what could be causing this? I did not experience...

    Ruger Precision Rifle Discussion

I shoot with several friends, initially was a 1000 yard target, then milk gallon then 1500 yards except we screwed up and it is actually at 1600; then some smart elbow suggested a mile (less than 200 yards more). My 6.5 CR was ok up to this point. First time out with my RPR 338. Std RPR...

    1 Mile Shot

We tried the mile shot a few weeks ago. 6.5 was difficult to spot (we were in the desert) Once the wind picked up it was no joy. 338 Lapua made it. A good spotter with decent optics is required it is great if he is a "wind doctor" Target was plain steel 32x32 inches 3/8 thick. No AR500 required.

NEW - Atlas CAL (Cant and Loc) Bipod - PRE-ORDER (added 12.14)

Based on this forum recommendation I ordered from On The Mark OTM Delivery was incredibly fast. I like this bipod. I am an old user of Harris bipods with KMW Podlocs, this is a flawless transition and I gain the stability/rigidity of the Atlas.

Picking a 338 Ruger next week. Price for $1600. I have Norma brass, Hornady 338 and H1000 on their way. A friend has a Savage 338 and it is a beast. We shoot in the desert , first started at 1000 yards, it got easy so we placed targets at 1600 yards. At 1600 the 6.5CM was getting there...

Had my Dillon 550B for over two decades. Like the product, love their customer support. I broke the large primer punch. Sent them an email, and a free new one is on its way. I size, on a Rockchucker and prime, power drop and seat on the Dillon; works well. When priming becomes a challenge...

Gunsmithing Converting an AT into a Folding AT

I am not a gunsmith but I have an engineering background. Followings are my findings and shall not be construed as recommendations/instructions. Warranty will be voided. I wanted a folder but could not justify the additional expense (priority on optics). Recently someone posted a stripped...
