Gunsmithing PTG bolt or just true factory bolt on Rem 700 build?

I just used a factory bolt and had a PTG handle tigged on. Doing it hat way allows you to true the lugs and then get the timing right with the bolt. LRI does a great job on these and will also get the handle right so it clears the scope and fits the stock.

    Proof Carbon Barrels

I have had several of this barrels and would agree that the accuracy is as good as others. The negative I did experience was that when I put a suppressor on them and do shot strings of ~10 shots (1 mag), I saw a .5mil shift in POI. My zero would return when the barrel cooled but the shift is...

Gunsmithing Installing Flush Cups in Manners

Don't think so....filled with a light foam filler but you could use a little great stuff if it was. Just drill careful and work you epoxy in with a que tip. Easy to get a nice looking job.

Gunsmithing Installing Flush Cups in Manners

I use a forsner bit in a drill press to get a precise hole with no chipping. A piece of leather works very well to protect the stock when you clamp it in the vise on you press bed so you can really hold it solid. Use C-clamps to hold the vice down, you want the work to be located well and SOLID...

Christensen Arms MPR... Problems and Resolution

I have had several Proof barrels (not CA) and none of them acted like this with just the barrel but the minute I put a suppressor on them, the groups looked exactly like this as the barrel heated up to hot. and it was very repeatable.

    Suppressors Ultrasonic and TBAC 30P-1

I filled my can with CLR today and it has been foaming like a volcano. Is this normal? I assume this means it is "attacking" the carbon?

    Suppressors Ultrasonic and TBAC 30P-1

Based on advertised starting weight, I've gained 1.3 oz. I guess not too bad for as many rounds as it has through it, actually did not know what to expect. All the rounds have been Varget or H4350 (.308 & 6.5 Creedmoor). I think I might soak it and see if it lightens up or changes POI. I looked...

    Suppressors Ultrasonic and TBAC 30P-1

More than 10K rounds across 3 different rifles. I'll weight it but accuracy and suppression seem fine. Question, why a household cleaner and not Kroil or Shooters Choice...something specifically for carbon?

    Suppressors Ultrasonic and TBAC 30P-1

Would have not guessed that. I have 1000's of rounds through mine and have never weighed or cleaned. Accuracy and suppression seem as good as always. Is this really necessary or a matter of personal preference?
