Sidearms & Scatterguns Sig 226 X5 tactical vs. Sig 226 TacOps

Which trigger do you like? The X5 has a better trigger if you are not used to DA/SA but once you get used to it I think it is fine. Would you ever shoot IDPA with it? The TacOps will fit in the box the X5 will not. The short reset is hard to beat. I would have a hard time dropping $2200 in a...

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Sti uspsa

Shooters Connection makes some sweet guns! They have a great selection for those who was to upgrade some parts also. I have nothing but good things to say about that company. STI is a great USPSA gun the 9mm is going to place you in minor so I always stayed with major in .40 but what matters is...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Sig 226 TacOps Like it / Hate it?

Are you using the X5 in IDPA? If so how did you get it to fit in the box? I have heard of rumors of people cutting things to make size but at that point get another gun.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Sig 226 TacOps Like it / Hate it?

Why not just simply use only the SA and ignore the DA?

The blackhawk mag holders for the g22 have worked well for me. Sounds like a daily carry or IDPA maybe?

Sidearms & Scatterguns Input on Poser-esque Glock build

Glocks are better with their reliability after you drop a Lone Wolf barrel and guide rod. So I would say go with brands that are built by a name of trust and you will be fine.

    Slide Fire???

I saw three of them go up for sale in the local paper. I agree with some of the post above its just another thing for the stupid left to point at. With that said they point at anything that can go "Bang" and call it an unnecessary evil.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Input on Poser-esque Glock build

It all depends on what competition he wishes to shoot, the RMR is the worst gun for that. You can't compete with an RMR the red dot would put you up against guns that will simply kick your teeth out and leave them rattling on the ground. Lone Wolf parts are great! If you want more information on...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Sig 226 TacOps Like it / Hate it?

I picked one up in .40 and I will say it is the best factory pistol I have ever purchased. Make sure you get one with Mecgar mags which are easy to know if they are the right ones or not, they say mecgar on them or made in Italy. It is super easy to get tennis ball size groups right off the bat...

That is the issue with Slide work, you can't use it for IDPA also. Stipple work is also not allowed. For USPSA these things are great! I like the tree bark type stipple jobs much more than the small dots all over. Better grip also.

    Battle Rifle Optic Choice??? GO...

For the money and based on what you said you need would be a good set of Iron sights. If you already have those then great but that would be a start. Troys would be the first thing that belong on a battle rifle then an optic. With your budget you don't have much room after you buy a good mount...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Sig 226 TacOps mag issues

Yep you got checkmates, crap mags for the sig. I have used checkmates on other guns without issues but for some reason they screwed up bad with the sigs. Other issues that the checkmates have besides jamming is they won't fall out of the magwell unloaded, they won't stay open after last shot has...

Crossbreed is by far the most comfort you will find in a holster. Raven does not come close.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Trying to decide HK USP or SIG TACOPS

I am a big M&P fan and love the gun but I was looking for something different than what I always shoot. I went with the Sig and plan on getting a HK when I can find one again. They do have some compacts for right around $500 that are police buy backs so I might give that a try also. I must say...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Sig 226 TacOps mag issues

The mags that are the issue are the checkmates the new ones are being shipped with mecgars, The good mags will say made in Italy on them. I have not heard anyone have a six month wait even in this market on the new ones. Any sig 226 magazine will work fine even with the grips.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Holster for SIG 226 TACOPS

Anyone have any suggestions? I like the safariland holsters with the velvet type material on the inside of the kydex, has anyone used these with this gun? Thanks

Sidearms & Scatterguns Trying to decide HK USP or SIG TACOPS

Re: Trying to decide HK UPS or SIG TACOPS The HK Will save me 400-500 compared to the sig tacops so it is much cheaper but I do like the feel of the sig more, maybe its the bigger beaver tail.
