    Which bullet puller?

Re: Which bullet puller? I'll have to check to see which collets that I have but I believe they are .243, .270, and .308 calibers. With these 3 collets you can pull any bullet between .243 and .308 with the Hornady puller. David

Re: new scssa [bham, al] match-500yd mod. f class 9/19 Larry how will this thing be scored? Will it be 2 separate matches or a combined score for the two runs? I may have another shooter coming if he can get his new build going this weekend. David

    6.5x284

Re: 6.5x284 The Norma brass is actually .004" larger near the web than the Winchester brass. The Norma measures .500 and the Winchester is .496". The only problem other than seating length is if your smith had a match reamer based off the Winchester brass.

To Close For Comfort? Neck Tension

Re: To Close For Comfort? Neck Tension Can you push a bullet into the fired case with little problem? Some lots of brass have more spring back than others and you may actually have more clearance than you think. To be on the safe side you should call your smith and ask him what the neck...

Re-Re-Reusing Brass...How do you know when to quit

Re: Re-Re-Reusing Brass...How do you know when to quit As far as how many times that you can reload brass, the two major factors are how much you over work the brass and how hot you're running your loads. If your die matches you chamber closely and you don't bump the shoulder to far back then...

    6mmbr

Re: 6mmbr Do like Bill said and try the Bergers at different seating depths. I started out using the AMax's to begin with but after going back and playing with seating depth with the 95 Bergers I found a load that my rifle really likes. My barrel actually likes about .030" jump. A 6BR that's...

Re: new scssa [bham, al] match-500yd mod. f class 9/19 I might be able to make it, I'm going to check my schedule. One more question, can the sighters be shot at any time or do they both have to be shot at the beginning of the run?

Re: new scssa [bham, al] match-500yd mod. f class 9/19 Larry how about a class for barrel burners where you shoot 12 rounds a run for a total of 24 rounds and cut the time down to 12 minutes a run also? Just a thought. David

    Berger Hunting VLD's

Re: Berger Hunting VLD's A friend of mine has killed six or more with the 155's in a 308win and they have been doing the job. Most of the time they have produced small holes going in and lots of damage after entry. I have been shooting the 6.5 130 VLD's and they have done well so far. David

Rifle Scopes scope for my hunting rifle

Re: scope for my hunting rifle I'm with rancid coolaid on this one. I have had just about every type of scope mentioned above and none of them will beat the Swaro. You don't realize just how good they are until you hunt with them a while and then go back to another brand. One test I have...

Rifle Scopes which reticle to suit nxs 3.5-15x50

Re: which reticle to suit nxs 3.5-15x50 Another vote for the NP-R1 especially if you hold off for windage. The NP-R2 has 5 MOA hash marks and the NP-R1 has 2 MOA marks for the windage. The 5 MOA is to coarse for me. David

    6.5/284 Brass Squeezing

Re: 6.5/284 Brass Squeezing Try it and see. Reamers are cut to so many different specs that you won't know till you try. My first 6.5-284 was off of a Winchester reamer and I sized it with a Redding die and it chambered the Lapua brass with no problems. I wouldn't happen to know that barrel...

Range Report Annealing and Velocity Change

Re: Annealing and Velocity Change I not going to say that the sealing doesn't have an effect on velocity but I do know that neck tension can have an effect. I'm always experimenting and checking things and I shoot over a chrono a lot. I had some cases that I had pulled the bullets from and I...
