    22 ARC

H4895 works well in my 6 Grendel variant. It's not as fast as Lever though.

And just like that, they're gone. Had 5 in my cart, then I go to complete the order and it says out of stock.

    Oryx Bipod has launched!

Is there any fresh feedback on these now that they've been out a while? @MDT_OFFICIAL in August, you mentioned that more mounting options are coming. When can we expect a pic rail mount?

Official (DTA) SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Thread

I'm launching the 180 ELDM at 3050 out of a 26" 7mm RM DTA barrel. Haven't hit anything but steel with it yet, but the numbers are pretty impressive.

Who cares, it's awesome. Buy multiple barrels up front.

    Haven't seen much for Reloder 16 in here, so I'll share mine: 20" Black Hole Weaponry 1-8 twist 75 ELDM - 2.065 CBTO 41.4 RL16 CCI 400 1x Alpha brass ~3330 FPS

Any 6.5 Grendel mag should work. People have different opinions on which one is "best". I like the ASC mags.

Night Vision What yardage do you zero your thermal

That's why I chose 4 inches instead of a more realistic 6-8. I've shot enough coyotes to know that if I hit them 2" from my point of aim, they are still very much dead. Some day I'll likely upgrade to the Super Yoter LRF and do the custom reticle like you. For now I have the original SY and...

Night Vision What yardage do you zero your thermal

So if I say a coyotes vitals are (a very conservative) 4 inches tall, and I use point-blank range calculator https://shooterscalculator.com/point-blank-range.php and get the following (22 Creed), I should just zero at 50 yards, and would be good to hold center-coyote out to roughly 300 yards...

Night Vision What yardage do you zero your thermal

I wondered if "sight height" worked the same for thermals, re: ballistics calculators, considering they don't exactly operate like a normal optic. Have you been able to confirm that your zero works for longer ranges?

As far as I know, they are not. Us lefties are stuck with the A1, which is fine. A slightly lighter rifle and an M-lock handguard would be nice, but are not necessary. It seems unlikely that any new old-stock of LH A1s still exist, so you'd have to find one used.

Hunting & Fishing Yote Stand Recommendations

If you're talking about calling them, you want as much room as you can get. With thermal, you don't have any peripheral vision. In tight quarters like you have, they could hit your caller and be gone again before you swing back around with your scanner. Also, it doesn't matter where you have...

    columbia river arms

They're now back at Black Hole Weaponry: https://blackholeweaponry.com/ They were BHW, then switched to Columbia River Arms, now back to BHW. Seems like mostly just re-branding and website moves during that time. I know I've bought barrels from them all through that, and they've all been great.

    Savage Impulse 1 year update

Can't speak for shoots100, but I have a 5 round MDT mag. It's been flawless. Their 10 rounders are great too. Much shorter than the 10 round Accurate mag the rifle comes with. Get the all metal ones, not the polymer or hybrid.

    Tracking deer with no blood

I would expect more blood as well. The arrow looks more like a low brisket shot. Unfortunately, in the heat of the moment, our brains don't always work right. On more than one occasion, I've found my animals with arrows or holes not exactly where I expected.

    Tracking deer with no blood

Were you shooting from a tree stand, or on the same level as the deer? How far was the shot? There's not a ton of space between the top of the lungs and the spine on whitetailed deer, meaning if you shot too high to completely miss lungs, you'd about have to hit the spine. Clearly you didn't...

Photos What kind of animal leaves this print?

If that's a raccoon, then he lost a digit on more than one paw somewhere... I suspect the size difference is just due to the softness of the mud. That's a fox, coyote, or small dog.

Hunting & Fishing Let’s start a coyote thread.

Tough to follow that ^^^ with a measly triple, but here it is. Side note: the 50 and 53 v-max are pretty impressive out of the lowly 223. There's a lot more that go straight down than do the spin-dance.
