    I will probably do this at some point. Did you have any problem with the handguards lining up with the receiver rails? So you just spin one off and screw the smaller one on?

    Trying to understand runout...

    I've heard that partially seating a bullet and then backing it out of the die, rotating the round 180 degrees, and then seating it the rest of the way will help with runout. I'm not entirely sure if this is the case but I have always done it and have had pretty good luck.

    Anyone know how the 155 noslers compare to the lapua 155s. I got a pretty good line on them.

    If you can find the 178s. If I had to do it over I'd try to use a different bullet than the 178 due to lack of availability. Probably go with 175s. IIRC don't the 155s have similar or better BC? If so I would much rather run those, could push them faster.

    Overpressure, overnight...

    I use 44.5 behind a 178gr a max at 2.845 and haven't had any problems. 2600fps out of a 20" barrel and 2714fps out of a 22".

    Inconsistencies with virgin brass and new bullets

    The only thing I would mention about using new brass would be to neck size to assure consistent neck tension. It probably doesn't need it with lapua brass but I've seen some with slightly deformed mouths from shipping. I use the larger bushing with redding type s dies.

    I understand that the overbore would be larger with a .338 on a 6mm, but wouldn't the increased volume of the can make up for the lost suppression?

    Is there something wrong with compressed loads?

    Nothing wrong with compressed loads but you should work up and always pay attention to the level of pressure you're getting. I think there's more even of a burn with the powder being compressed as there isn't any dead space in the case. With a non-compressed load the powder isn't evenly filled...

    Do you know how to read? The law makes it a felony for a federal agent to try and enforce federal gun laws against a Kansas resident(who is using a firearm made in KS).
