Suppressors New law in KS. Residents can buy suppressors w/out tax stamp

Yeah well I saw the bill and it has already passed and taking effect on July 1. I like the freedom of being able to buy a can and walk out the door with it. I don't leave the state that often. (b) ‘‘Firearms accessories’’ means items that are used in conjunction with or mounted upon a...

Suppressors New law in KS. Residents can buy suppressors w/out tax stamp

The suppressor has to be made in Kansas and can't leave Kansas. I found this out today from a class III manufacturer who is planning to do a bunch of .22 suppressors once the law takes effect(July 1st IIRC). Evidently the law states that Kansas firearms and suppressors(specifically mentioned)...

Would one of these work as a stainless steel tumbler?

Kind of trying to achieve both. Would like more capacity and not have to pay out the nose for it. Not wanting to invest more than $200-$300. Thanks for the link to Enos thread. To poster above: is yours the 15lb model? I didn't think it could hold that much. That's not too bad.

Would one of these work as a stainless steel tumbler?

The 15lb model requires 12-13 pounds of water/stainless steel pins. They have a 40lb model but they want $700.

Would one of these work as a stainless steel tumbler?

I've been racking my brain on how I could build a SS tumbler with a larger capacity than the paltry 2lbs the Thumlers has. What do guys think about using/converting one of these(or something similar)? Northern Industrial Mini Electric Cement Mixer – 1.77 Cubic Ft., Model# CM125 | Cement...

Hunting & Fishing Coyote hunting advice needed

If you wanna get serious about it buy(or have the college buy) a Foxpro electronic call and a decoy and set it up in the field. Get camo'd up and sit about 50-100yds away from it with the wind blowing in your face(coming from the call). If you wanna go the cheap route then get a hand call but...

    Lightweight accurate long range rifle?

You could do a FNH Patrol bolt rifle and get the barrel cut down a bit, then put it in a lightweight manners/mcmillan stock. The PBRs have a lighter contour than the SPRs. I have an PBR and it's a 1/4moa rifle and not too heavy. You could also just get a sling that is more conducive to...

    best alliant powder for .223 / .308?

I know a ton of highpower shooters who use RL15 with 77gr SMKs with great success. I've found that Benchmark works best for me with 60gr vmax .224 bullets.

How much H1000 are you using to push a 300gr bullet(.338LM)?

I've been using 92grs for a 300gr SMK @ 2700 out of a 26" bbl. Groups are 1/4 MOA. Yall are making me feel like I'm going overboard. Anyone use 92grs? Max in the Sierra manual is 92.2grs of H1000.

How do you store your armor?

I got to thinking today about my armor setup. It's a Pointblank Interceptor with IIIA soft armor and level 4 plates on top of that. I have it lying flat with the back side underneath. What I'm wondering is if the weight of the plates will degrade the soft armor over time? Should I try to store...

I am close to max via the Sierra manual but just wanted to see what you guys were running. Anyone ever have pressure issues? If so, at what charge weight?

    GAP 10 - Crimp?

I have banged my head against the wall with this issue as well. In one regard the bullet can be pressing back into the case increasing pressure OR the crimp can increase neck tension and raise pressure. I called Sierra and Redding to ask about this issue and they said yes, crimping can cause an...
