6mm long range predator gun build

Just about any of the larger 6mm cartridges will work just fine. I know a few guys running 243's, 243AI, 6xc, 6creed, 6SLR, 6x47L, etc. They all work with correct bullet. You really need to tell us what "long range" is though to you. I will say that most bullets don't open up consistently...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Under Valued/ Overlooked and Sleeper Guns

CZ 75D PCR. Great little pistol, compact and accurate. All the CZ pistols I've ever fired have been crazy accurate. Not to mention their rifles, excellent. Xdeano

    Adjustable bases?

I like my ivey so far. I haven't had any issues with it dialing true or dialing back to 0 at all. when I use it to dial I am confident in it doing what it's suppose to do every time, so I kind of forget about it. Hope this helps. Deano

    Best 6mm cartridge*

Yes so far so good. But I'm not killing it at matches or prairie dogs. I'm using it for actual hunting where the shot matters. The cold weather thing, is a thing. I'm not talking 25 degrees, I'm talking in the negatives. Im sitting at -9F right now. Its happened to several people I know. I...

    Best 6mm cartridge*

I love my 6SLR, if id have to choose another cartridge it would be; 6 comp match 6 xc 6 creed 6x47 I look for velocity and barrel life. With the 6slr and 6comp you'll have good velocity and barrel life using h1000. 30/31 degree shoulders, long necks, cooler powders all suggest longer barrel...

    Cold weather and rangefinders ..

If you have temp issues you can use a hot hands and a couple of rubber bands to hold it on. I to have terrapin and I was ranging stuff with it today in -15F. I also have used the hot hands on thermal scopes and calling units to keep them warm. Xdeano

Funny not a lot of mention of the hellcat. Ive talked to some that say it's very snappy, and wouldn't consider it for a few more years. But, guys are buying them.

    375 CT neck help

So whats your neck thickness on your bertram brass vs peterson? My bertram 375 brass fired neck thickness is .0135. Which should be close to yours. My loaded ammo is 0.399 0.0135x2= 0.027+.375= 0.402 0.402-0.399= 0.003 neck tension. Im using AB dies also. Id contact AB to see if you got a...

    Sidearms & Scatterguns CZ

Ive got a 75D PCR. It's a fun shooting gun, accurate and not a bad carry rig. I picked up a threaded barrel from cz and fit it. It shoots subs through a can very nice. Xdeano

I havent had any problems with the o-rings at all. You can cut the solution if you want. I havent had any issues with it taking off my cerakote, unlike the ultrasonic cleaner. Xdeano

    243 fast twist?

I love my 6mm SLR. Pushing 105s at 3050fps on a slow node and up to 3300 on a fast node. I'm using h1000 so barrel life should be a little better than the 6 creed using h4350. The 6slr is basically an optimized 243win. 30 degree shoulder, long neck, utilizing slower powders for longer barrel...

    Suppressors Dakota silencer varminter 4.0?

You certainly could stick it back into the pvc tube after you remove the end caps. But typically everything has loosened up sufficiently to push the baffel stack out pretty easily. When youre done with the cleaning process, dispose of the clr and carbon. Wash out the tube, let air dry and put...

    Suppressors Dakota silencer varminter 4.0?

Cleaning is a breeze; Just make a pvc tube to fit the suppressor. Pvc pipe to fit for length and dia. A flat bottomed end cap and a screw on end cap. Put the suppressor in pvc muzzle down and full it full of CLR, the house hold cleaner for an hour or two and you shouldnt have much of a...

    DIY Snowshoes

Ive seen guys using hot sand poured into pvc pipe and bending it when warm. This way you'll get nice round corners and it wont be brittle like if you'd use a torch. Id suggest a forming board. Use nails and make an outline for your outside form. Then just wrap the pvc when warm around the nails...

    Advanced Marksmanship Lightweight .308Win rounds

I've shot a pile of fclass matches with the 175 smk and 155 lapua. I like the lapua better. I pushed them at 2925fps with a nice load of varget. I've got a box of 110grn bullets from a friend, but have never loaded any up just to try them out. I know they'd be decently flat shooting out to...
