    Disappointed at range today

I know practice, practice, practice is the name of the game when it comes to shooting long distance. But today I behaved like a total rookie! First it was flinching, then rushing. I never really got settled good behind my rifle today. I'm going thru load testing right now for a new rig. .308...

    Chassis's ???

Oh I see. Is it too much demand and not enough production, or just too long to build?

First Custom Build, but there's a problem?

Here's my first trip. Bullseye was sight in, the next three shot group is just above from 100yds. I think she'll do just fine!

    Chassis's ???

Anyone try JAE? Anyone have any experience with "JAE"? I was looking hard at this chassis but eventually went with the AICS. The system looks fantastic, and appears to be very adaptable as well. You have to admit, it's an awesome look!

    Chassis's ???

If I had it to do over again, weight would definitely played a role. My latest custom came in several pounds heavier than I had originally calculated with the AICS 2.0. I have no one to blame but myself for not doing more homework beforehand.

I'm "that guy"with the worst luck with gunsmiths!!!

I just had a build finished, and there was a small paint flaw that had me all messed up. Sounds like your smith is man enough to do the right thing. I would send him work. Those qualities are hard to find these days.....honesty and willingness to admit a mistake!

    Bipod choices for AICS Chassis?

Pod Sean, I want to start by saying my apologies for not buying the ATLAS BT10/BT19 combo from you. I did sign up today for this setup. I did however buy a Pelican Storm case from you last week for my AICS 2.0.....love it! I have reservations about the price point of the ATLAS. Of course I...

First Custom Build, but there's a problem?

I believe that the heat factor is it. I don't know how much difference it really makes, but if you believe that barrel harmonics can be affected by heat from milling then it's worth it I guess. The process was no more expensive than a traditional milling. I for one didn't ask about the process...

    Chassis's ???

I just completed a build with the AICS chassis. I am a traditionalist like you, but reviews, style and functionality lured me in. The real beauty of this rig is it's designed for the Remington 700 action specifically, and is simply a "bolt and go" system. No bedding required. This is a great...

    Bipod choices for AICS Chassis?

I'm sure this topic's been covered multiple times here, but I'm trying to decide on the best bipod for my custom with an AICS 2.0 chassis. I have looked and looked, and so far I can't decide. Looking hard at the Versa-Pod 150-682. It looks like it has the front spigot integrated in to the pod...

First Custom Build, but there's a problem?

boone.....that's right, it is the lever that actually comes in contact with the bolt. When it's not engaged, the front bottom portion of the lever sits right above the front trigger housing pin. Hence the reason for filing down the pin slightly.......

First Custom Build, but there's a problem?

boone3380, I went a different direction and removed the trigger housing pin with a small punch, then carefully ran both sides of the pin over sandpaper until the desired length was achieved. It was a longer process with some trial and error, but it prevented me from altering the chassis and the...
