CMP M1 Advanced Maintenance Course-Build your own "Expert Grade".

On another note and maybe should be in reloading. I checked with Creedmoor about their 30.06 loaded for CMP. I know it's Lapua brass and a 167gr Scenar. Powder is "Proprietary". Box claims 2720fps. Seems pretty fast compared to my manuals.

Sounds like a timing issue with the ejection. There is a block available that goes into the magazine. The bolt should not release until the block is fully inserted. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1007333150?pid=399172 If the en bloc won't eject, we literally had to peen the bullet guide...

CMP M1 Advanced Maintenance Course-Build your own "Expert Grade".

I recently was able to attend the CMP M1 AMC (Advanced Maintenance Course) in Anniston Alabama, I thought some of you may would like to hear about the experience. In my understanding this course has not been held for about 4 years. CMP held a lottery for a class seat. I was initially on a...

    1903 Unertl Sniper handguards

Here's my base to start with. Stock is in decent shape but wrong type. SN122#### Looks like a Minelli C stock and a Gen 2 Hi Lux are next. Once sourced, I plan to ship it to the CMP custom shop for the rest. I was just in Anniston for the M1 Advanced Maintenance Course where you build your own...

    Producing Ammo with Low SD's

Have you tried annealing? Sorry if I missed it in the above. Use mandrel? Graphite necks before seating? Right or wrong, after my intial attempt at loading a few, I annealed and trimmed new Lapua right out of the box. Followed by a mandrel and Redding Graphite on the neck before seating. I...

    1903 Unertl Sniper handguards

Very timely for me. I recently bought a SA rack grade 03 in Anniston to make a replica. I bought the worst one they had. The muzzle.gaged "3" and the throat a "6", so I don't feel bad about doing a conversion. Test fired it at the range and so far it's the worst $700 I've ever spent 😉. @jthor...

Friend has 2 of them, and neither will shoot Kent Fast Steel. I'll be putting a spring in the second one as well.

Hammer spring from JP Custom Products seems to have done the trick with the Kent shells.

    Berreta A400 help.

QUOTE="308pirate, post: 11322043, member: 113603"] Tell him to contact any one of the three Cole Gunsmithing facilities (Maine, Florida, Texas) Thanks for the suggestion. Had a short chat with them today. Nice guy, but not a lot of suggestions, except to switch ammo and check the spring. He...

    Berreta A400 help.

Far be it from me to question the makers of fine firearms, but the hammer is ultra light. The rear of the firing pin has very little protruding out the back of the bolt before the hammer is stopped by the rear of the bolt body. The firing pin protrusion of the unassembled bolt looks like enough...
