    Remington Defense 5R 300Win Mag

I live in Carlisle, Pa. It takes me about 1 hr 15 minutes to get to Mifflin. Well worth it being able to shoot 1000 yds. I meet a small retired group each Wednesday. Great shooting.

    Remington Defense 5R 300Win Mag

They actually have a demonstration unit for $450 in the 300 win mag. If you ever get that complete, bring up to Mifflin for some long range shooting.

    Grayboe Stocks?

I'm talking about practical experience. The problem occurred. It never happened on my Mcmillan A5's. Would I worry. No. The inletting was minimal, but did not work as stated from Grayboe. I would still recommend their stocks, but I believe the Mcmillan A5 is better, but definitely costs...

    Grayboe Stocks?

The answer is yes. I have a Grayboe Renegade stock that I used the PT&G bottom metal. It had to be inletted a little more for the feed pickup to work properly, but it is just fine.

Help me decide caliber of next build

Since you included buy off the shelf, I would agree with the 6.5 Creedmoor. I started shooting the Hornady 140 ELD's about two years ago and it definitely out performs my 308 at 1000 yards. The barrel is a Bartlein barrel with 1-8 twist with 5R rifling. I also just completed a 6MM Creedmoor...

    Need Remington 700 6.5 help

I just had to send my Remington short action with a Grayboe renegade stock back to my gunsmith. The PT&G bottom metal did not feed properly. He had to raise the DBM area to allow the bolt to pick up the rounds. The stock came as a pre-cut DBM. Not sure if that is your problem or not.

Why Replace a Factory Bolt Shroud?

I can't answer your question about performance, but I am not a fan of plastic components on my rifles. I'm sure you don't need titanium and there are probably less pricey options out there.

    Rifle sled/ rest

I know that Caldwell makes a Lead Sled Solo Gunrest. It is curved for AR's to handle the magazine. Another company named Hyskore makes black gun platforms.

    Grayboe Stocks?

I have one on a new 6mm Creedmoor build. It has the same channel problem as Xander but works fine. I had mine bedded and it shoots just great. For the dollar a good value. I have 2 Mcmillans and they seem better quality and lighter but cost more. I had to cut the DBM opening a little to...

    BAT Machine TR Action

I had the opportunity to check out the BAT TR tactical action last year at the Harrisburg NRA show. It was the greatest action I ever handled. The founder was there and answered all of my questions. Unfortunately it was out of my price range, but was an awesome action. Still regret that...

There are also 69 gr SMK's. No experience on coyotes, but they are very accurate and lighter than the 77's.

    6mm Creedmoor snap caps?

I did a quick search and the site called ADORAMA listed the following. Lyman A-Zoom Rifle Snap Caps for 6mm Creedmoor, 2 Pack Never dealt with them before. Good luck.

    Do you shoot your .223?

Definitely. One of my favorite rounds. I especially enjoy hitting steel at 1000 yards. Need some help from mother nature, but still a good round.

    65mm spotting scopes (please help)

I had the opportunity to look through both of those scopes and I felt the Swarovski out performed the Vortex. The image was much more clearer and easier to obtain. Was it enough to justify the difference in cost. That all depends on what you are doing with it. If I had the money, I would buy...

    6mm Creedmoor or 6.5-47L

I have been shooting the 6.5 Creedmoor for the last two years. Just finished a new build using the 6mm Creedmoor and so far it is doing great. Using the Hornady 108 ELD. Good luck on your choice.
