New Larue upper 4th July Special

I’m going today, but I don’t have match ammo for it. I’ll see if I can best Molon’s 3 shot wolf group with some IMI 55 Fmj;)

New Larue upper 4th July Special

What exactly is the fuss here? I thought LaRue’s goal was to bring accuracy to the masses for reasonable prices. Isn’t this new upper exactly that? @bigjake83 aren’t the barrels you’re using like $600 each? Meaning you’re spending nearly double the $699 price to squeeze another 1/4 - 1/2 MOA; I...

    Cant decide which ar10 platform

I think I handled that same gun at that same store. Terribly tempting. Reviews of the CS and horror stories about inconsistent QC make me nervous. But man that thing is light. May still roll the dice.

Rifle Scopes Which Optic for SPR style AR

He did! I picked up the 3-12 LRTSi and put it on my 65 Grendel. It’s been awesome! I’ll bet you wouldn’t have to wait too long after the gen 2 is released to find a deal on the gen 1’s.

self winding tactical watches.... suggestions please

OP, As stated above the Marathon GSAR is what you seek. It actually has a history of being issued to different military units. It’s insanely robust, uses tritium for its nighttime visibility, and because it’s a dive watch it’ll do just fine in tough conditions. I’m actually shocked this wasn’t...

Rifle Scopes Burris XTR ii 3-15 x 50mm or Athlon Midas Tac 4-16x44?

Thanks again for that ILya. After deliberating a bit more, I couldn’t pass up the $699 deal on the Bushnell LRTSi 3-12x44 from CaneralandNY. I think it’ll be just right for my 6.5 Grendel and uses. Seems to get good reviews.

***Traded*** I have an excellent condition X-Treme Duty ultralite 34mm unimount 1.44” A257. I’m looking to trade for the same mount in a 30mm ring size. 1.375” A191. Thanks!

Rifle Scopes Burris XTR ii 3-15 x 50mm or Athlon Midas Tac 4-16x44?

Thanks for that. I’m leaning toward the burlier Burris with the simpler reticle, but am tempted by the higher mag range and mostly the current price tag on the Athlon. I assume glass wise they’re similar and that the Burris could not be considered as twice as good. ($800 vs $400). General...

Rifle Scopes Burris XTR ii 3-15 x 50mm or Athlon Midas Tac 4-16x44?

Ilya, what would you recommend between the Burris XTR II 2-10x42 and the Athlon Ares 2.5-15?

Rifle Scopes So, what about Leupold Mark 5 ?

Did your two poor tracking mk6’s have the M5B2 or the M5C2 turrets?

Rifle Scopes So, what about Leupold Mark 5 ?

You’re not wrong. The only lighter/shorter/as short scopes are the Mark 6 3-18 and the March 3-24 in this class. If Leupold achieved their goals as reported by xmedicmanx, this scope will be a big success for them. Edit to add: If they achieved their goals I’ll be buying one...

Rifle Scopes So, what about Leupold Mark 5 ?

The innovation that people will buy the Leupold for is weight and size. I confess the mk5 is not as extreme a difference at 26oz compared to the 23.3oz of the mk6. But they’re both right around 12” in length too. No one but March comes close. With more powerful calibers becoming popular in AR15...

Rifle Scopes So, what about Leupold Mark 5 ?

But all of those are heavier than the mk5. They’re only better options if you don’t value weight.

Rifle Scopes Leupold Mk5 Lineup Pics

The most valuable trait of the Mark 6 3-18x44 to me is it’s weight and size. Weight and size is the area where I think Leupold bests it’s competitors handily with March options excepted. Anyone willing to put a Vortex Razor on their rifle values that trait much less than I do. Need drives our...
