    Similar as you. The target I posted above (#84) has the majority of 20 shots within 1.5 MOA at 500yds. Each grid line is 1 MOA. Shooting a 308 AR off a bipod adds a certain level of difficulty compared to a bolt action.

    Plenty reloaders find the mid to 2/3 up loads do very well in 308 semi-autos like the AR10 or M14 and 7.62 M1 Garand.

    Not necessarily for lower SD's, but since we push those 155's pretty hard to stay supersonic at 1K, the LR pockets get loose quicker than the SR brass.

    Well, here is his "test" of a level scope and severely canted rifle at 1,000 yards.....yeah, no significant difference in impact_ so who cares if the rifle is perfectly level. All that matters is the reticle level/plumb.

    Defective as in Failure to Load a mag, Failure to Feed, failure to eject, or just "Failure to not be ugly"? Cuz if it loads and shoots.....it meets specifications for a factory production firearm.

    Yeah, I think I misread the OP, it's not McMillan's work-they are looking for a good shop to not repeat what happened last time. Unfortunately the "new" McMillan doesn't do much beyond their stocks and whatever "custom" orders. But even "custom" orders are limited. I want the 3-way buttplate...
