    I say 1.35 IMO It raises the height above bore line to act as a counter to the recoil impulse by also elevating your point of contact at the shoulder when you get behind the gun. But at the same time it doesn't make your scope look like its on stilts.

    12 o'clock may not be in fashion, but there's no downside once you get dialed in on both shoulders. I personally run 1.50" mounts . Sight picture gets squirrely in anything higher than that for me.

    IMO- M5 will be considered to transition to the Squad DMR role to take advantage of the increased MER . This new SPEAR Lite will support staying with a 5.56 for replacing the M4. We also need IMO a 77gr AP round in the 3000 fps range to compliment the SPEAR LT

    Would you say the Tikka/TRG direct mount is equal to clamping to a Picatinny rail in terms of holding strength in rough conditions? --- bouncing around on a Quad, slung off shoulder....
