    I am in the process of collecting parts for a new build and went with the Bartlein. I've had really good luck with their barrels so figured why not when they came out with the CF wrapped barrels. Found one of the #4 contours in stock, now just waiting on the action to be delivered.

    Every custom barrel maker has various barrel contours which is what you are describing. Pick the one that works best for your needs, I'm sure you will get plenty of replies about which one is perfect:) For me since I mostly have hunting rifles, I'm a big fan of their 2b contour.

    The most accurate rifle I own has a Lilja #3 contour barrel on it. But I think its just a good barrel that was chambered and installed by a great gunsmith who could probably get any barrel to shoot;)

    Chad, unless its some sort of uber top secret - can you tell me how you are able to get Ti M700 actions?? I agree with you, the 700 Ti isn't a bad place to start if truly wanting a lightweight mountain hunting type rifle. I sure like my 7MM-08 Ti.

    Karl Feldkamp @ Kampfeld Customs does that flute - its his Ti flute. He flutes the bolt then he Cerakotes the flutes in graphite black or I suppose any color you wanted.

    You can also order a T3X aluminum bolt shroud directly from Beretta, it fits the T3 just fine and is a nice replacement for the plastic one and I think a bit cheaper than some others.
